There is also a Nintendo 64 version of Starcraft. Has anyone played that version?

Yeah, but ive never seen one in an online game.

you need a huge map like the ones you get in the expansion pack.

*puke* i cant stand Nintendo. i mean N64 wasw AWSOME (bames bond baby!!) but then GC came out and it blew ass. the mini disks, the wacked out controller, and the graphics! good god they were terrible!
but i digress. i am a avid fan if KOTOR 1 and 2, and soon the be 3. 8) BLACK i love that game!
halo is cool when you are in a pissy mood and you need to kill something.
but my most faviorate game of all time is Call of Duty 1 & 2.
word on the street (the underground, that is) that Bungie is developing HALO 3 but it is kept tightly under wraps.
Game Infomer traped one spokesman the into saying it is in the works.

i have the N64 version of starcraft. it is real confusing to play but i keep it jsut because it is rare to find

I own well over 500 games.

Gaming was one of my major obsessions, beginning with Space Invaders back on my Atari 800.

One thing that I noticed is that I simply cannot afford to have a 4X strategy game installed on my computer. I have lost entire days to those things, simply because of being unable (or at least unwilling) to stop. I discovered that with Alpha Centauri, and had relapses with Civilization 3 and most recently Rome: Total War and Hearts of Iron 2.

I also had to delete Freecell since I was getting hooked on that too.

I do OK in just about any other genre, as it's easy to stop anything else at any time. However, I avoid MMORPGs entirely.

My favorites are SHMUPS and some of the more difficult side-scrollers. There's just something immensely satisfying about memorizing the elaborate patterns required in these games. The last one I really got into was Astro Boy on the GBA. On the replay of hard mode, that game requires almost complete perfection in strategy to beat each level.

And for some reason, I always keep coming back to Nethack.

I first played its predecessor Hack in 86, and still play it for at least 4 hours a week.

I used to like video games many years ago. I have since lost interest and when I go cold on something I go completely cold on it. I was not too bad at it except when I really got really excited and thrilled about it I got the tremors and messed up. I could not help making jerky movements with my hands jerking the joystick as I got really into it.

Ice_Man708:

I think the starcraft 64 is good, because if you have two controllers you can play with a friend who also likes starcraft, cooperating in various maps against the computer.

I enjoy playing both mainstream and cult games, although I tend to enjoy cult games more. I usually play CS 1.6, America's Army, Hostile Intent, Natural Selection, and Soldat. I'm planning to get RO:O once a demo will be released.

Speaking of Jet Set, I have Jet Grind Radio (Jet Set Radio in Japan/Europe) for the Dreamcast. Fun stuff.

Have fun with your little shoot em up games. Must make you feel so big and strong, being able to shoot things down. People who play Nintendo, have more advanced pursuits to conquer.

I play PS2 mostly, with the odd PC game for variation. I've been playing Black and White a lot recently, trying to be a nice god...
Almost all of my PS2 games though are shootemups, (I've got about 50 of em alone, I enjoy the challenge) as well as the odd action, stealth or horror game (Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Splinter Cell, The Suffering etc).

For as long as I remember, I've been horrible at video games. It would sometimes take me months to pass a single level. After the arrival of the internet, I'd just look up cheat codes, and use them in the game. That, however, made the game seem very mechanical. A year or so ago, I gave up playing video games entirely. Why waste time or money on something frustrating?

It doesn't matter how fast you beat a game. WHat matters is having fun.
