This is what apparently has happened to me. But because there seems to be no test to tell if I've still got it, (although dad claims they were able to diagnose him with epilepsy without him having a seizure) it's not on my medical records.

In my case, I was supposedly diagnosed, wasn't medicated and my parents weren't told until I had an unrelated appointment last year.

They have EEGs to measure seizure activity. While I was having problems with seizures I was being monitored and I was on medication to control my seizures. Eventually we noticed the seizure activity was calming down. I was still having simple partial seizures that didn't interfere with my functioning. I came off my seizure medication and eventually it calmed down to the point where I wasn't even having simple partial seizures anymore. That took a couple of years since the day I came off my medication but it happened eventually.

It's funny how so many people were diagnosed with 2 or more mutually exclusive disorders like PDD NOS and Asperger's or AS and a personality disorder ect. Also, Tyrion and I were officially diagnosed with a disorder that doesn't officially exist! -NVLD. Callista, you almost have a collection of all the disorders in the PDD category of the DSM IV TR (atleast you can say you were diagnosed with them all at one point). :) The only one you're missing is Childhood Dintegrative Disorder.
I know! It's like I'm trying to collect them like Pokemon or something. Now all I need is another clerical error to get CDD on my record, and I'll have the complete set!

lol Exactly. Recently I described my litany of diagnoses to someone as a collection of disorders-you've almost got a whole category of the DSM. Well, it seems like a lot of us have collections -lots of co-morbids.
