Hah, from the posts I read on this forum I was beginning to believe most people here couldn't stop themselves from talking people's ear offs concerning their favorite subjects, but as it turns out the silent majority is a silent majority

i can be talkative but i m not one of those autistic people that talk nonstop. i may have noticable speech problems (i talk too slow and some words cannot pronounce right) but that doesnt stop me from interacting. i used to be embarrassed about it but im not any more because i have learnt to accept myself and not worry what other people think. they soon realise that im permanantly delayed in my speech. i can interact otherwise, but i dont always like interacting so i stay quiet. but im not quiet from shyness, i just choose to be quiet because i cant be bothered to talk because sometimes i like to get lost in my thoughts.

Quiet mostly, though when I feel comfortable around someone I can be talkative. Though I make an effort not to go on and on, since I know I can do that if I'm not careful.

This is me

Quiet to the point that people forget I'm in the room most of the time. Until I get nervous and then I either clam up more or start rambling switching from one subject to another so fast even I have issues keeping up.

I think most people would say I'm really quiet, but if I get started on a topic, I can talk at someone for a very long time. I try not to do this, but sometimes I ramble on and on in response to a question, and I'm very bad at knowing what details to include when relating events to someone, so I just say everything. My husband would definitely not say I'm quiet since he's always being subjected to my monologues!
