No, you`re not a racist. Don`t let anyone tell you otherwise. Do you hate someone for what they are, or what they`ve done? If someone of foreign extraction mistreats you, does it make you racist to dislike them, despite the fact that you have justification?

"Racism" is just another word for "you don`t come from my group of monkeys"

What is actually racism, would be better defined as "Cultural Antipathy", and is generally, like much else, down to ignorance.

Pretty on the ball. Racism is a visual form of ingroup Vs outgroup cognitive process that relies heavily on availability and anchoring heuristics. The person usually relies on anecdotal data (such as I saw Rush Limbaugh talking about how dangerous black neighbourhoods are) therefore I will avoid black people. Another one, "I don't see oriental people on TV much so I don't find them to be very glamorous or attractive"....
