It's nice that the page calculates the score without reloading (client-side), so you can easily play around with the answers and see how that changes the score. I dislike tests that make you choose between "agree" and "strongly agree" - the line is blurry and people are likely to interpret the distinction differently. My suspicion was that changing my results from the weak to the strong answers might would change the score significantly. I tested this and it turned out to be unfounded: my score was 17 with all answers changed to "weak" and 21 with all answers changed to strong. The agree and disagree answers counter-balance each other, so it's probably OK, because a person is likely to choose the same level of "strength", on average, for their agree and disagree answers.

I got 8.

I see a problem with this. What if you are just being realistic? How is that low self esteem?

For example:

"I certainly feel useless at times." What if you really are useless?
"I feel I do not have much to be proud of." What if you really don't have anything to be proud of?
"I am able to do things as well as most other people." What if you really do suck at doing things?

I guess you're right.

Who doesn't feel useless, at least sometimes?
I do sometimes, in fact I checked "I agree".
I see no point in being proud of things I have no control over, and I'm not proud of anything or almost anything therefore, in fact I checked "I agree".
I know that I can't do some things as well as most people, that's a fact, so I checked "I disagree".

This one is a little better, IMO. It is more accurate.

These are my results:

On the first test, I scored 20. This is what I scored on the other test:

Strengths
· You can handle criticism

Potential Strengths
· Your overall self-esteem is satisfactory
· You believe, to some degree in your ability to handle challenges and accomplish things
· You feel somewhat loved and accepted by others

Limitations
· You are fearful of being rejected by others

My self-esteem has been getting higher lately, though there are some things that I could improve on.

11 - low self-esteem. Was much lower a few years ago...I'm getting there :)

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

23- I am often told that I appear to have low self esteem even though I feel I have a healthy level of self esteem.

"You are relatively capable of dealing with rejection from others" who hate you because you suxxor so badly @ everything.
I'm not laughing at you hanyo, I'm laughing at the absurd "encouraging words".
