Yes, there are certain pieces of music that give me goosebumps and can sometimes bring me to tears. Sometimes it's just the music itself, or even one particular note. The opening guitar note to "Slide Away" by Oasis, (not generally a particular favourite band of mine) works every time. More often, though, it's the combination of music and lyrics.

For example "Demons" by the Super Furry Animals has a line that goes "And sunny days in January, left spaces in my diary". It's sung with a lovely Welsh accent and it has brought tears to my eyes before, and goosebumps all over my skin.

Similarly there's a Beta Band song called "Simple" which includes:

"I tried to do my own thing,
I tried to be alone,
But the trouble with your own thing is you end up on your own..."

which sums up the contrary nature of AS and my own username in particular quite nicely, I think.

That particular song can give me goosebumps and tears too.

For some reason Pixar-style animation also does the same thing sometimes, but I've never really figured out why. Perhaps because they're so lovely and I feel that I'm not a part of that love? Or maybe some sort of loss of innocence trigger?
