Which new Wrong Planet logo?

Alex I sent you an email with the idea for the #1 font, but stacked, and the little alien standing on the "n" instead of the "earth".

Going to go with the majority decision, #1. It looks the most professional and I like the alien standing on the earth staring down with their magnifying glass.

The uneven pencel lines in #2 and #3 will drive some of us crazy. Would do that to me anyway, the main reason I picked #1.

I prefer the first one. The other one is alright but I don't like that stacked one.

I know it is late in the game, but since wrongplanet does not exist without it's members have you considered user submitted logos? Maybe if given certain guidelines?

I am sure there is some talent on this site that would jump on that and probably produce results rather quickly.

like the first one the best. It seems to be the most cutting edge.

I chose #1 Stacked.
I've never liked that stereotypical alien.

I think "alien" assimilates how a lot of us feel, and fits the name of the site.

I voted for #1 stacked. I like the stacked look better, for some reason. I also like the scribbled font quite a bit, but at the same time I agree with those who say that it looks kind of childish.

I actually like the hand-sketched ones, so I picked #3. But I wish we'd lose that hand-drawn alien!

The alien idea itself is not a bad one, but I just really don't like that particular drawing of it. It's far more "infantile" than the pencil-sketch logo and it just looks so... crude. OK, that's probably intentional, but it still, it rubs me the wrong way somehow. I can only guess it's meant to look like a child's drawing (or maybe it actually is one), but it's just not a good drawing, even by child standards. I do my best to ignore it.

I don't like any of them because they're too "kiddy", it plays into the notion that we're all immature and have childlike thoughts (which is completely untrue obviously).

1 was better, but like I said, there needs to be a more serious look to it, otherwise people might not take us seriously.

Odd thought - can we not have two aliens?

All this feeling alone - surely it would be nice to show that we are not alone, as people and as a community? We could have a girl alien and a boy alien.

I think the alien is fine - it doesn't look like it's been specifically designed to impress people, but it exists more out of love from the creator of it...it is what it is, warts and all. So, actually, it's more than fine!
