Bumble, for whatever it's worth, I really like you a lot and I like having you here. I know it's not the same as IRL but I am sure that I would really enjoy being your friend if we lived on the same continent. But as far as here which is probably the best we can do since we do live very far from each other, please consider me a friend. I would be honored if you would. I really mean that.

Hi Bumble, having read your posting. I do see you as a nice and intelligent person. I would be honoured to be your friend, also.

People who are depressed are convinced that they are useless and not happy. So if they're convinced that they are useless, they think they're not able to take the first step and of course don't know what first step is. If they are not happy means that they lack the energy to do anything different, so they don't have the energy even to take the first step. So the whole point is how can others support and encourage them to have more energy to do some positive things e.g. exercise, going out, getting haircut. They need to be the one who want to change.

Bumble - I think a lot of people, myself included would be very much willing to listen to you. I'm probably a bit younger than you (ergo not as experienced in many life issues that you may be) and statistically unlikely to be geographically close, but hey, maybe a Skype group chat with other people on WP? If you just feel like talking, venting, what not?

For those of us in Vancouver, there is an Aspies Meetup group; pm me if you're interested. I look forward to seeing anyone in Vancouver either in person or in a larger gathering!
