Why would I ingest nail-polish?

Red, this is slightly OT, but do you often think, or at least write, with a lot of line breaks? I find the formatting of your posts very interesting. Is it reflective of a sort of fractured state of mind that occurs before you have an emotional release? Just curious.

Rebel, The Mountain Goats have a similar effect on me. Nice to see them making an appearance.

What do you mean by OT?

Yes I do.
It isn't reflective of a fractured mind state. It is a separation of ideas.
Once I have finished answering one concept or idea, I move onto the next. The one previously was closed and has been answered.

Okay...

The Yellowstone Supervolcano ....its overdue to blow, and wipe us all out!

And its all YOUR FAULT!! !! !! !! !! !!

An emotional overload isn't the same as an emotional breakdown.

Don't be ridiculous. A person having an emotional overload wouldn't trigger a volcano to erupt.

This is a serious concern. Don't trivialize it.

Red, you may just need to give it more time to come naturally. Do you have this issue often or do you naturally get releases sometimes?

No.
I do believe it is due to the fact I have had a melancholic episode. Melancholic episodes prevent me from crying even when I am terribly upset or stressed.

I think he's looking for a release like crying. I completely get that.

I would say the best bet is what Fogpatrol said though I can't say I've tried duct tape.

If that's what you're after, listen to sad youtube music videos that deal with painful issues in your past. If you want an actual meltdown overload, the easiest way I know of triggering one is sensory overstimulation. Some of my meltdowns have made me feel worthless and mad enough at myself to trigger a second meltdown, like getting mad at yourself for being mad, not logical, but it happens.

I meant it the other way around. I tell you something bad is gonna happen to stress you out to trigger this emotional breakdown that you WANT ( and to sweeten the pot I'll just blame it on you as well- to give you a little more stress). The more straws on the camel's back the better- I GUESS-since you want your camel's back broken.

Yes it was a joke, but a joke to provoke you into further explaining WTF you're talking about.

As I have stated above, thinking about issues from my past, no matter how traumatic, do not bother me. It is just like playing a video of the event in my mind, nothing more.

No, A meltdown is different to an emotional overload. I don't want a meltdown, those are violent and painful.
An emotional overload is more a stress release and exhausting.
I don't want a sensory overload, it feels like I'm drowning in my own mind.

OT means 'off-topic'. (Or occupational therapist, depending on the context.)

I second or third the music idea.

Sounds like it might help if you found something new to listen to, to get interested in musically, seeing as your state of mind currently would probably not appreciate the music you tend to like. Maybe an entirely new genre. Do some youtube trawling.

Of course if music isn't your thing, it's not much help.
