I have koumpounophobia ( phobia of buttons ).

I hate them, all of them. I don't even like being able to see them.

When I become ruler of this planet I will ban them!

Give me zips, give me velcro, give me laces, but don't come near me with buttons!

Yeeeuuuggghhh!! !!

Insects. I haaaaate them, they creep me out so bad. Oddly enough, spiders don't bother me.

Cephalopods. I don't know what it is about them, but octopuses and squids are horrifying to me.

I'm also afraid of death, but I'm not sure I would count it as a phobia.

Claustrophobia, and mine is extreme. I can't stand in crowds because of it. I once got caught in a crowd and had a huge panic attack. I started pushing the person in front of me, and I even tried to climb on his back, I was panicking so much. Probably the craziest I've ever behaved in public.

My other phobias are all related to hygiene, and thinking certain foods will harm me. Worrying about physical health, and thinking that I might have a serious illness.

water that I can't see through, for example, in the southern US there are lots of ponds that are thick like pea soup... UGH, but also any nice lake, especially if anything touches my legs while swimming, like seaweed or just anything.... just *PANIC* yuck creeping myself out just thinking about it, scary water, rotten logs, dead bodies floating AAAAAAAAACK! :eew:

Somebody in work asked me a very similar question about ten years ago.

They don't bother me at all.

I refer to things like that as "press studs".

Even though I'm not keen on spiders I would rather have one placed in my hand than a button.

I would rather that almost anything be placed in my hand than a button.
