I took the quiz and got Rogue, but I identify more strongly with Cyclops.

I am a Wolverine fan, but they told me something else:

I'd like to take the quiz, but the website isn't working correctly. Won't respond when I click on an answer. Oh well. Whichever one can hear high-pitched noises from far away, that's me, I guess.

That must explain it...

So I did the quiz again:

Yes!
That quiz is brilliant!

Or maybe I am somewhere on the Beast--Wolverine spectrum?

Due to your username and avatar, I take it that you'll be Cyclops.

Of course not! I'd be Gambit! The guy with the persuasive eyes. :D

Although the quiz said I was most like Nightcrawler. Which I disagree with, because Kurt is a lot more friendly than I am.

I've thought along similar lines since I got my diagnosis. Hell, The Last Stand even introduces a 'cure' for mutants, and the debate very closely resembled the debate about the hypothetical (so far...) autism cure. If the analogy is continued, those pushing the 'cure' and restricting mutant rights are... well, those pushing a 'cure' and restricting autistic rights; Magneto and his gang are aspie supremacists; and Xavier, his friends, and the School are ASAN, Wrong Planet and the neurodiverse community/culture. I don't think that this was intentional, but rather the writers hypothesised such a scenario, then speculated about its consequences, and were quite accurate.
I am Jean Grey, apparently: "Intelligent but volatile, you are a well reasoned scholar who sometimes feels like a powder keg waiting to blow. You've been known to occasionally turn to the dark side, but ultimately you're still in touch with your own goodness."
Sounds about right.

Ok, I'll try the quiz as well. I'll probably end up as Beast or Wolve...

8O ... Dammit, I *knew* I shouldn't have chosen "Jaywalking" as a thrill-seeking activity.

No-one here is cool or interesting enough to be an X-man.

I do see a lot of correlation of us aspies to the mutants from X-men and on how the mutants are treated and the Xavier Institute being a safe haven for them. Wrong Planet imo is not much different from that and Alex=Charles Xavier! :D

Right down to Xavier/Alex being a Mutant Rights Advocate. Only difference is no one thinks Aspies are a threat to mankind. As far as I know.

Sez you! I for one think WP posters are very interesting, and have interesting things to say. If they weren't, I wouldn't stick around here.

Besides--the X-men, despite their cool abilities, have personalities that are fairly typical for human beings. That's part of the appeal of their stories; instead of being nearly-perfect boy scouts (Superman, looking at you here), they're people with a wide range of personality traits, from the heroic to the silly.

Nope, no X-gene related superpowers for me. Just a twice splashing of glowing green goo... which wasn't even on purpose. :?

X-Men is currently one of my special interests, in part because I do see a strong connection between the aspie-NT mutant-human conundrum. I wrote about it on my blog here: http://theaspierabbit.wordpress.com/201 ... supremacy/

I like thinking of myself as a mutant with corresponding powers and difficulties more than I like thinking of myself as a disabled person who normal people will never fully understand. Wolverine is my favourite; he manages to exude the behaviour of a good and gentle person even while simultaneously ripping a bad guy to shreds with his adamantium claws. Even among the other X-Men he is isolated, because he protects his emotions in a way that makes him come across as anti-social, but given the length of his life, and all the things he's seen, I think he feels more than any of them. I really love Xavier too, and I wish I had a mentor like him, who was autistic himself, but who knew enough about how to survive in the NT world to help me get by. (It also helps that Patrick Stewart, aka Captain Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation plays Xavier in the movies :))

Wolverine is also my favorite and I agree Patrick Stewart makes the perfect Xavier!
