I consider those sandwiches to if they are on buns or bread.

The secret to power, wealth, romance and happiness is in understanding sandwich types:

Some people are taking nourishment in a reserved way from their ham and swiss on white. These people are religious fundamentalists staunchly opposed to diversity in any area of life. If you need to work one of these types, threaten them with change or promise them a return to the golden age of yesteryear and one people, one nation, one leader.

I hate both ham and swiss cheese so nope nope nope.

Others will be chowing down on multigrain flatbreads with goat cheese, roasted tomato slices and pesto. These people are radical extremists steeped in Marxist-Leninist ideology and green-planet, eco-terrorist propaganda. You will have to employ circular reasoning and a lot of eco-hippie terms to work one of these people, or convince them that a failure to act will harm an animal.

I love love love these sandwiches. But I'm not an eco-terrorist. I frequently include turkey in these sandwiches (not standard, but it can be done).

Then you have the soft taco/carnitas/salsa folk. They either hail from the latinosphere or attend liberal arts colleges. Unless you see them in an ersatz hyphen-mex fast food joint. They could be either of the first two types showing their wild side.
liberal arts college enviroment introduced me to this genre of sandwich- just as you say. well done, sir.

Club sandwich people are much less common. They are likely to be involved in the financial sector in some way and can provide good stock tips, but don't ever trust them. They are poised to take a mile if you give them a micron. Don't even think about working these people, they are already deep into applying subconscious levers to you. You might as well accept the truth: you are the puppet and they hold the strings, so dance!

I've never been/worked in the financial sector but still love love love a good cluub sandwich.

pastrami Pastrami PASTRAMI!! !!

Best pastrami sandwiches ever come from Katzes. http://katzsdelicatessen.com/

As you may have guessed, there is almost no overlap between people who love pastrami from Katzes and people who love ham and swiss on white bread.

PASTRAMI ! !! !! !

(why yes I am NT but that is not why I love so many sandwiches)

I can't eat them any more, my horrible IBS stopped when I stopped eating gluten. Sometimes I miss them a little bit, because I used to LOVE them. But I don't miss them as much as I like not being sick every day. Non-gluten bread really sucks in case you were wondering.

I must have misspoken if I left the impression that membership in this sandwich group means you ARE an eco-terrorist. What it does signify is that you have been exposed to the ideas of both Greenpeace and Earth First... You may have been interested only from an anthropological perspective, or you may have been wearing all natural fibers and on your way to a wommyn's drumming circle at the time, but no one follows the way of the multigrain flatbread, goat cheese, pesto, tomato path without some exposure to the defenders of mama gaia.

What's that you say? You don't recall the drumming circle? Let me refresh your memory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pBZHc4Mk8E
Makes you hungry for a little pesto on flatbread, no? Brings back the memories of that day on the quad?

I suppose there is always the exception that proves the rule....

pastrami Pastrami PASTRAMI!! !!

You are no ordinary flatbread sandwich eater. The Pastrami aficionado is a rare breed. Creative, passionate, highly neurotic, highly intelligent, these people are fearless in the pursuit of their interests and unafraid to stray far from the mainstream. Like the Reuben sandwich people, Pastramians are so rare that it doesn't really make sense to list them among the major types--but if you meet one, you are likely to see a thoroughbred in action.

How often do you partake of the Pastrami, if you don't mind my asking so personal a question? From what you have said so far, I think you probably dabble in pastrami occasionally, but do the hippy-mex and pesto tomato goat cheese flatbread far more often. And that's admirable. You are a person of hidden depth, a lover of life's rich tapestry, but not afraid to sometimes walk a little on the wild side.

The science of sandwich-based personality sorting becomes more art when you get to these deeper, more complex areas, so forgive me if I got some of it wrong, for you.

My Dad was a professor at the college, which allowed for reduced tuition. I got my love of pastrami sandwiches from him (he's the one who took me to Katzs) but he wouldn't eat a club sandwich if he was starving (or a ham and swiss). He would eat the pesto and goat cheese sandwich if he was starving but would be annoyed if it was the only type of sandwich at the faculty dinner. It was a college roommate who introduced me to the club sandwich. She couldn't believe I'd never had one before. I was an instant but secretive convert.

I have a pastrami sandwich about once a month, either made myself or from a deli. Mostly I follow a paleo diet (which means avoidance of wheat) but with some cheat days which allow for sandwiches. It is possible to eat the goat cheese/pesto/turkey sandwich using lettuce leaves for bread but pastrami needs rye.

The reason neurotypicals like sandwiches is because they're unevolved, unenlightened plebeian scum who are incapable of basing their culinary preferences on logic rather than emotion.

I love good sandwiches! But they need to be really good! (both taste ans texture, and how it'll stay together. I don't like messy sandwiches that drop their fillings all over the place. Those kind of sandwiches makes me actually really upset)

But the bad thing is, that I hate making sandwiches, even though I'm the only one who would know what kind of sandwich I'd enjoy. (and sadly even I'm quite poor making them right) Because making sandwiches is really challenging somehow. So yeah, I love good sandwiches, but I (or no one else either) can't make them. :(

Gluten free bread has gotten a lot better than it used to be. I'm gluten intolerant and love sandwiches. Try some of the Udies gluten free bread. It's expensive but it's pretty good.

:D

And what if you just heat up some of that like roast beef, smoked ham and and such lunch meat or some left over chicken, pork, steak throw some cheese in the pan with it, season it if you want, throw it on toasted bread(whatever you happen to have)? Oh and of course adding some lettuce or spinach or something can be good to.
That's the sandwich for Schizophrenics or those who can't make a decision. :p

I do find decision making to be one of the more difficult things in life.

I like sandwiches with real meat (like left over turkey from thanksgiving) and rolls or no meat on rolls or loaves of bread but I HATE coldcuts (lunch meats). They have a slimy texture and smell horrible, maybe it's the preservatives in them. I threw away my munch every day from the start of primary school until grade 8 because I hated those (and never thought to ask my mum for something else). The texture of those meats with mayonnaise or margarine on them is absolutely disgusting, nauseating to me,. I also don't like wonder bread, which is kind-of soggy and mushy.

I prefer vegetables over sandwiches, though I do enjoy a good sandwich from time to time.

Corned beef on toast with brown sauce. You can't whack it.

I had it one year for my Christmas dinner. It was the best Christmas ever. :D
