There's nothing wrong with me, therefore, nothing to cure (in this department at least.)

Yes and no: The yes being I would really like to be NT in the sense of knowing social cues or being able to pick up on one's body language or facial expression(s) I think because of that it cost me jobs and the possibility of making friend(s). However, I think in general I'm OK with whom I am yes I have Autism for good or bad it's what I have and I've learned that there are things I will not be able to control (sensitive to bight lights loud noises and some finding the correct words to express my ideas) there are a few good things to having this disorder and that is knowledge in a few areas which if giving a chance can help me secure a job in the field that I have knowledge in.

EzraS, I got my drivers Licenses when I was around 24 I failed the driving part once and the written exam once many people told me growing up that I would never learn to drive or get my licenses I managed to prove them wrong.... Now I am driving and have been for the last 10 years or so try not to give up on your self.

the only thing i'd 'cure' is my inability to make conversations and ...my physical awkwardness, but i don't think that's ASD related.
everything else can stay, i like how i'm able to stay focused on one thing for hours thanks to my obsessive interest habit.

Oh HELL - It's not something that needs a BLOODY CURE!! !

IT'S NOT SOMETHING WRONG. IT'S WHO WE ARE!! !

HOW INSULTING!! ! I DON'T NEED A CURE!! !

It's who YOU are. For me, it's an annoying brain glitch that I'd be happy to be able to get rid of if I had a magic potion.

Yes and no.

Yes - I would not have meltdowns or shutdowns and I would be able to cope more without routine and order. I would like to be able to understand people and to be able to communicate efficiently. And to cope on my own too without having to rely on other people to help me daily with simple tasks that are so frustrating and confusing for me.

No - It's nice in a way to lack self-awareness.
