The curious incident of the dog in the night-time
Ah! That would be me then.
Except that I'm not sure about my capability to do it from the perspective of an autistic visual thinker and I don't think that I have much of an attention deficit, plus my (hypo)manic tendencies are on hold.
However, I do understand metaphor but I have very little idea of how to get my emotions across.
This might be called parody.
I'm in a funny mood tonight.
I apologise if I offend.
Sorry.
Why the **** do I have to apologise all the time.

I don't think I could enjoy the book that much for 2 reasons:
1) I was diagnosed a week before and hadn't been able to accept it fully. Hit just a little too close to home. Granted, I am not all thaaaaat, but most of the characteristics were known to me by experience.
2) It seemed like a novelized version of the DSM-IV... if the diagnostic criteria said that we tend to rock, the character rocks... if we have sleeping patterns problems, the character has problems... only exaggerated. I was expecting to find out that the kid was lactose intolerant and/or got a reaction to strawberries or peanuts (and I am sure that it would have happen if the criteria <any criteria> would have include those... )
Anyway... a warmer and less "I tend to do that... I tend to take things literally" (Mozart & the Whale - without breaking the records) would have made a greater story.

You mean you didn't even know the happy and sad ones? Hmm, the only one I couldn't figure out was the one at the bottom of the page, in the set of four, the second one from the left. Heck, I even showed my NT friends and they couldn't tell what it was!
