I love science.
It is the most creative pursuit.

My family is full of artistic scientists, so in our family, we can't have one without the other. Science is our art, and our art is our science. My "job" is as an artist, I do freelance work for people, but I'm also very scientific. Both my parents are biologists, but they're both very artist as well. We all play musical instruments and sing, as well. My mom and I do fiber arts, too. There is no real separation for us between art and science...
Have you ever seen a petri dish? The way the bacteria forms... that's an art too. People make pictures with it! But it's also science.
Besides, without science, we wouldn't have the materials to make our art.

I absolutely love both science and art.
They influence each other in many ways, and certainly are not in conflict with one another.
I view many things as a science and/or art.

Science is fascinating and enables me to learn more about the world around me. It inspires my imagination. Art enables me to creatively express myself through the use of my imagination.

I think they're related in many ways because without science art won't exist and without art science won't exist
I always considered math to be some form of science since its based on logic and rules and realism
But I always womdered which one needs more intelligence??
Do they both need the same level of intelligence??

I suggest to anyone here to watch Jacob Bronowski's The Ascent of Man series, episode 11 called "Knowledge or Certainty".
In the first few minutes his presentation and explanations make clear the direct connection between art and science. He does it in a way that should be extremely enlightening, describing a proper way to approach information that can be applied to almost any discipline.

Besides, why should the use of something be a criterion for its value? A lot of beautiful things, both in science and art, are useless.

I enjoy those things that are 'useless' like looking at a painting or reading literature, but I keep thinking that they won't change anything like create something which would bring humanity further or wipe out a disease like how science does

A lot of the stuff we know about history is only known because we're able to analyse the art from the time. I wouldn't call that useless. And studying science doesn't guarantee that you're going to make a breakthrough like wiping out a disease.

I won't pick one. I like both science and art, a lot.
