So many people are posting about my "thank you" and I gotta tell you, I'm slightly inebriated and I don't even remember it but I'm sure it's not such an ordeal that deserves such attention.

Can someone more coherent please tell me what's wrong with thanking someone and why it's wrong and why it's wrong?

IMHO, absolutely nothing. Depending on circumstances it's nice and /or polite.
I have never in my life been bothered by someone thanking me for anything. But I have found it rude or ungrateful when they haven't. Nothing wrong with being pleasant!

I'm trying Norny. I'm trying (or at least, that's what people say!)

Me too. Even if it's a simple, informal email at work, I still can't let it loose until I'm happy" with it.

See, I'm very inebriated at the moment and (as far as I know) my spelling, grammar and puctuation is spot on.

The only thing I notice is my typing is a lot slower!

I wonder what's worse. Being ignored or being a thread killer.

You start lots of post in this section & we don't have time or focus to respond to em all.

I'm used to people not responding to me, online or off. As a kid I was a class clown because it got me the attention I wanted, but I grew out of it and now I'm okay with not being noticed. I thought we all were.

Anyway, inebriation sounds like a great idea right about now.

At least we don't ignore you then later start verbally-attacking you for being shy like da NTs(one of their stupid games they like to play)

Thank you Venger for your contribution - and I don't think they are game they're playing. They know how spiteful and hurtful thet can be. They just don't care. Heartless!

It's a "game" in the sense that they're doing the same thing themselves, except from the other side of the fence. NTs that ignore you often get mad when you ignore them back. lol

This thread makes me want to giggle. I think being a thread killer is worse. I am a thread killer I am afraid. That's why I don't post more often. Because I am afraid I will kill it and because I tend to write too much. Someone answer or add to this thread so I'll not have killed it as much.

I get ignored quite frequently. I've come to understand that it's probably because people are jealous of my superior intelligence and wit.

I thought, I was the ultimate thread killer.
Many threads stop after my remark and I often get ignored too.
It isn´t because of my sharp wit, I´m sure, but simply because either I answer with facts, everybody knows, instead of doing something original with these facts, - or I get to close the thread, because my remark falls when everybody has finished discussing.
Oh, how I remember my school days.

Typical Aspie paranoia and that is not an insult I am the same too.

You have plenty of replies now. :)

Now your going to look at my reply and wonder am I being mean or kind or something else confusing.

And the answer is try not to over think things so much.

You could always ignore my reply and let me get paranoid about what you were thinking about it. :)

Yes I was going to reply to a thread the other day and I seen you had posted in it and I did not bother.

That thread sank like a sack of rocks I am telling you. :lmao:

I still end up feeling so awkward and weird when someone quotes something I said, and especially if they agree and or praise me, I'd get super uncomfortable and feel unworthy of the praise and start a cycle that is almost self-loathing. I think this comes from not receiving any attention from my parents when I was a kid, so when I do actually receive attention it's almost like an alien notion, and praise almost becomes as bad as an insult because of the low self-esteem I've developed has affirmed that 'this can't possibly be true'.

Yea, I'm a mess.
