To those diagnosed later in life: aware of sensory issues?

i was diagnosed as a young child, i don't know better or i was diagnosed already.
however, i indeed did not realise that i had sensory issues. as mentioned before, i just assumed that everyone heared the buzzing of power sockets and saw the flickering of fluorescent tubes (among other things).

it is only recently (the last 5-ish years) that i have come to realise that these are not normal, and are actually seen as 'superpowers' by some.

Yes, I head the buzzing too and saw the flickering, but it nerver bothered me seriously. Ialso just thought everybody else saw and heard the same. Don´t they? Really. I´m still "home-blind" there.
