Tried coffee for a while, couldn't get used to it.

WOuld put 1/4 cup sugar and a ton of milk on it. More like coffee flavored milk.

Plain tea makes my day (when I remember we have any. . . )

My Rules for coffee:

Diner/Gas Station Coffee
Black only, no adulterants (only makes it taste worse

Coffeehouse Coffee
Dark Roast,w/1-2 shots Espresso, Lots of Honey, If Honey is not available, the Raw Sugar. White Sugar only as a last resort.

Home
French Pressed French Roast, usually Fresh ground,Left to steep about 5 Minutes before plunging, Either Lots of Honey, or Black.

No sugar. Creamer types, in order of preference: Half-and-half, whole or 2% milk, powdered creamer, 1%/skim milk.

I've had all kinds of different coffees, but my favorite overall for tastiness and value is Eight O' Clock 100% Columbian.

i thought coffee with milk was beige, not white. :P you'd have to leave out the coffee to make it white. mmm milk...

i chose some other freaky combo you're not aware of, aka irish coffee all the way bebeh! *hic*

Seattle;
home of the ferry's.....

the Corporate Headquarters of Starbucks, Tullys, and several Others (Tullys being my current fav).

i used to live no more then a mile from both Starbucks and Tullys Main Offices a few years back. just loved going bike riding down past the Tullys building as they did Their roasting right there; Starbucks does Theirs out in Kent somewhere.

on hot afternoons The Mistress would take me to a "Tullys" while on a long ride and W/we would have one of Their "grande expressio shakes". there was soooooo much hard core caffeine in one of those things that you would start convulsing if'in you drank it too fast. boy-o-boy it was good!

but this is about coffee, or in fiver's case; Latte'....
my Ex-Husband got me one of those stainless steel Barista machines that Starbucks has been selling for years, back when W/we were still married. and at last i estimated; i must have run about 9000 latte' through the thing in the last 8 or so years.

my favorite bean is Tullys "aged sumatra", though that's not easy to get right now. so i settle for "moka java". it's got to be fresh ground which means that you need to have a bur-grinder on hand. the beans are about $13 to $14 a pound and i go through at least a pound a mouth; sometimes two. it's best with steamed whole or 2 percent milk, but that will add pounds to your waist real fast at two or three latte' a day. so i use skim. being an autistic; i settled into just one flavor years ago; Almond (sugar free). in fact, the only sugar that i add is just one bag of the "sugar-in-the-raw" type per mug.

please don't get the idea that i am a coffee snob; i'm not. but like anyone from this part of the country; i can tell the type of bean by the way that it tastes. and i always buy my beans whole and by name......

5er....

I am one of those "black with no sugar (yuck lol)" people. :P

I also like green tea and hot chocolate. My tea is also untouched, but I like to put things in hot chocolate, like mints.
