I have nothing against the smokers themselves, but when I am around a person who is smoking (particularly in a place that has banned smoking) it gets a little up my nose.

Do you mean no sympathy for the non-smokers or no sympathy for the smokers?

For non-smokers who whine about the smell or whatnot. What we really ought to ban is bimbos who wear so much perfume they smell like french whorehouses (and usually drive everyone around them into a fit of coughing and sneezing). lol :P

To this Aspie, there is nothing more offensive than the way cigarette smoke smells.

And the smell of cigarette smoke on someone's clothes, breath or skin is flat-out rancid. Truly offensive.

What I really hate is this: A smoker (Let's call them Louanne) and a non-smoker (say, Bill). And there at a pub that has banned smoking (say, The Elm.) Louanne and Bill are in The Elm's lounge. Louanne lights up without asking anyone, puffs it right in Bill's face and glares at him like he's done something wrong. Why? All because he said 'Excuse me, could you please not smoke around me?'

And throwing a cigarette butt right on the ground is one of the most disrespectful things a smoker can do. Without thinking, nearly the whole entirety of the smoker world just flips their butts onto the ground without so much as a thought. It's ecological an disaster.

It just makes me angry that they do it without thought. Out of sight, out mind.

Well, I am going to even the score. Without thinking, I am going to just nonchalantly toss my garbage onto their lawns without thinking. See what they think about that.

My sense of smell is sketchy at best. When it bothers even me, you know it's got to be really, really bad. lol

At least the smell of smoke helps cover up the smell of vastly overperfumed bimbos. :P

Just today I went into a McDonald's restraunt and I had to use the bathroom really bad. So I went in there and OF COURSE, someone had been smoking in the restroom. I'm standing there holding my breath AGAIN and turning blue and trying not to pass out before I can get out of there.

Why in the freaking hell do people have to smoke in a bathroom in a non smoking restaraunt??? It wasn't like they could have smoked BEFORE they went to the bathroom. For Pete's sake, the door to outside was literally 6 feet away from the bathroom door.

Disgusting.

Come to think of it, I like the smell of pipes and cigars. I occasionally smoke those.

It's filthy, but my mother chain smoked... so I kinda actually find cigarette smoke soothing. And I've smoked cigars a couple times. Never got hooked though. Which is odd because I tend to be easily addicted.

Stopped smoking for 10 years and refused to even consider dating smokers....

- Hypocrite that I am, I now smoke again, HOWEVER, I have never smoked indoors (except occasionally when I lived by myself and had a few drinks)...

- hate people who smoke in the street....one of those people bumped their ciggie into me and burned my most expensive coat at the time....that peeves me even to this day...

- hate people who flame up without even considering that their smoking annoys others...

BUT, I did have one time when I was in a park, right away from others (deliberately not to spread smoke around) and I was smoking...well, this girl comes along, opens her lunchbox and says to me "excuse me, can you stop smoking while I eat"....needless to say I did take offence at that....but otherwise, yes, I do think smokers on average, can be a little bit selfish.
