Oh here we go, with the "You don't really correctly perceive what's happening to you."

Guess what? Despite the spectrum making it hard to read people, sometimes, just sometimes, some of us DO correctly know exactly what some schmuck is trying to do to us. Just once in a while it's not all just in our heads.

Is that passive aggressive, plain aggressive or just me feeling some kind of confused by it?

Did you just call me a schmuck, A.K.A. stupid?

What on earth makes you think I was referring to YOU?

If you care to read earlier pages of this thread, I posted about the most recent time I felt myself to be on the receiving end of passive aggressive things said by an acquaintance of mine that I'm beginning to realize is a jerk, and I'm using schmuck in the following definition:

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/schmuck

Quote:
schmuck
noun, Slang.
1.
an obnoxious or contemptible person.

I was talking about the person in my real life who subjected me to this, and that I am not incorrectly perceiving what he said to me.

On the other hand, if you WANT my post to be about you, help yourself.

.

And you, my "friend," are the perfect example of passive aggressive.

Stirring crap up while making yourself out to be the innocent one.

Nice. Real nice! You're not making yourself look any better than me, just incase you thought so, sweetcheeks.

Is passive aggression better than aggression?

I know that in the eyes of the law it is!

Er, and you had failed to read the rest of the thread which would have enabled to to see where that fits into the picture.

Get your kicks out of sitting around splitting hairs, mistaking things and feeling delusionally superior, do you?

And wow, only 48 posts new, as a member here, yet already being an ass. You know, if you're going to be a dick to people here, at least wait until you've been here awhile instead of picking bitchy fights right off the bat.

You've JUST JOINED this site and look what you're already doing around here.

Add to that, condescending and strangely determined to obsessively have the last word.

Help yourself, pea brain, seems to be important to you.

And you think you're opinion is the only one and always right, who then resorts to name calling rather than defending your own arguments, you're a straight up bully, not a philosopher reasoning others statements.

How to interpret someone else's descriptions is difficult and ambiguous, but I don't automatically believe what others tell me, esp. about behaviors of people who are not around to state their side of the story. In general, I find that both sides of a story often make sense, each side tries to represent things in their favor, and the truth is somewhere in the middle. With people I know, I usually don't automatically take their side based on their descriptions of events that happened.

I think this approach is a good one and I do it too. The truth often is somewhere in the middle. Always uncritically accepting the interpretation/description of events of the person you are talking to (in real life or on a forum) means you have to take sides and agree that the "other guy" is bad/wrong/aggressive etc. Maybe they are. Maybe they aren't. Maybe something in between. It's hard enough to sort out what happened when both parties are present to tell their side of the story (just ask anybody who works family law). But when only one party is present, there is no reason for me to automatically favor their side of the story just because they are physically present to tell it.

This thread has degenerated into name-calling and insults.

Therefore....locked.
