You are missing the "I have no clue" option.

Anyways, I suspect most people just think I am a bit odd. Perhaps overly analytical and overly obsessive.

A long time ago, my wife used to explain my behavior by simply saying, "He's an engineer". And, the other person would respond by saying something like, "Got it".

...When I was in the Santa Cruz County Jail in 2013 , during my term , someone who came in later on (Who boarded in the house of someone w/a 21 yr.-old or so Aspie son) , another inmate , said that , seeing me from a distance moving and the way I tried to talk/i0nteract w/other county cons , thought before I spoke to him that I might be Aspie .

I grew up in a town of engineers. That's definitely a saying.

I've also noticed it's common to have engineers marry nurses. I think that waters down those genes... (I'm my case, my father was an engineer/scientist and my mother was a programmer...no watering down there...)

Here's its either "oh he's into computers" or "he doesn't get out much", the latter may be more true than it probably means to most...
