Really, no speech until age five? How amazing, you present yourself so well on here!
My son first spoke at age three years, nine months and still does not have syntax and grammar down despite having had speech therapy for the past 10 years. He will, for example, say, "Why you don't like Super Mario?" He also has a few childlike speech issues which the ST doesn't believe he'll ever grow out of (which is okay with us and with him), such as saying the "f" sound for "th" ("fank you"). However, in addition to being OTS, he is intellectually delayed. I'm not sure whether that makes the difference, but perhaps.
I'm also very aware that some people OTS who have issues expressing themselves verbally can nevertheless type out their thoughts.
Anyway, I'm impressed. You really do present yourself very, very well at least in writing, from what I've seen on here. I'd never have guessed you ever had a speech delay.
