I like the Robot Chicken Thomas bit:

Uhmm. Not sure if that is what the Reverend had in mind!

I think that's what makes it effective parody.

Yeah, specifically a loving spoof, whereas a satirical spoof usually aims to mock and devalue the original.

Just saw this and couldn't help but laugh because I loved Thomas the Tank growing up! I also loved toy trains. I grew out of that but just thought the observation was interesting! I wish I knew how to play the theme on the piano because I love it. Thanks for sharing! This rendition is pretty awesome and really close.

Why grow out of it? Is a hobby I have had since I was old enough to grab things. I had toy cars and trains ever since I can remember and my memory goes back to scenes when I was less than a year old. (My youngest brother is funny. In his late teens he said he could remember the day he was born and my Mum said "No you can't", so he then described the room they went in immediately after the emergency exit birth and described the room in detail... A hospital room my Mum had never been in before and has never been in since where they had put my Mum in to recover immediately after recovering. She was only in that room for a few hours, and the walls have an unusual shade of green (No other hospital room was that colour) and my brother even described the clock on the wall).
I can only very brifly (A glimpse of a vision) describe seeing the unusual corridor that goes to where the ambulances were in the hospital I was born in, which was while Mum was heading out of hospital after I was born. But I had seen that same scene as an early adult, but I remember it being dark when I first saw it, and when I saw it as an adult it was bright and sunny. They have not used that side of the hospital for ambulances for years!
As an adult I am in the same hobby Inhave always been involved in, but now due to a pair of leading manufacturers deciding to get massive loans in the past to buy up all their competition in order to try and monopolize the industry along with one of them moving production to China (The other was already in production there for decades, they have now had to put prices up and up to pay off these massive loans just to survive, and prices have gone absolutely stupid, because when others see that they have plenty of leyway to make a profit and join the hobby and are viewed as competition, one or the other buys them out by borrowing even more! Means that to the ones that love the hobby, the prices are going stupidly high and even the ones who were arguing with those who noticed saying prices were acceptable have gone quiet or agreed!
Production numbers have become less and less per item produced as fewer and fewer modellers can afford them! The secondhand market is absolutely thriving and their prices are climbing fast due to the demand!
I kinda left most of the commercial buying side of the hobby over a decade ago when the first jump in prices took place (Prices doubled in a short period of time) as due to circumstances where I left a good job and ended up with no income for a while (Had burnt out), I changed scale to one that was easier to make my own things by adapting and making use of the budget end of the most popular two scales (00 and H0) using the same track width, but modelling the popular scale above to make them narrow gauge in 7mm to the foot scale. This means that I can enjoy the hobby without being caught up in the esculating price, though I do buy things now and then (85-90% secondhand).
The beauty of modelling in the scale and gauge I do is that I can take advantage of the narrow gauge side of it and turn my trains in a small space, so despite being in a larger scale, the actual room needed to run trains is less! Train lengths in narrow gauge are also a lot shorter as I tend to stick to shorter 4 wheel stock.

I wish I remembered more about bulgy. I looked him up. Sounds like someone I know as well I think I used to like Percy when I was younger because of the green.

You make a good point Mountain Goat! You don't have to grow out of your hobbies. That's cool you like it as a hobby! I used to have a small Lionel train when I was younger and had a track in the basement. Maybe it should be something I take up again I loved toy cars too. I used to have alot of hot wheel cars.

Thank you, Mountain Goat! I will definitely take a look at it. I'd like to get into a more hands on hobby again

What I model in is known these days as NG7 which is what a manufacturer has called it. But is traditionally known as 0-16.5 in the UK, 0e in Europe and 0n30 in the USA... BUT most 0n30 is expensive...
Try instead to make ones own or buy budget conversion kits such as Smallbrook Studio sell (Listed as 0e on their website). Ensure you can get a donor locos chassis if using these kits. Most run on the budget Hornby 0-4-0 chassis which one can still buy (In the UK) complete secondhand Hornby 0-4-0 locos for a very reasonable price. (Elaines Trains usually has a few, though not sure if she sells overseas).
Use ordinary H0 or 00 track and controllers. (I would stick to DC as it is cheaper for budget modelling).

I laugh every time I watch that. I saw that a couple years ago somehow and laughed ever since. The remix sounds great with how they remixed it.
