I'm meant to work around 40 hours a week, plus lectures. I rarely do this - I just do a week of nothing but work every once in a while.

I have a myspace page for business reasons. As a professional writer, I need readers and a "promo" page where editors and publishers can get my info and samples of my writing. I don't update very often tho - I both procrastinate and am generally socially (even internet society!) inept. But I write compulsively, so I might as well make money at it. Anyone who wants to read my stuff or hire me as a writer is more than welcome to view my page though.

Yeah, I write, although not really for a living. I get disability and have few expenses so I can play hard at being a writer. I've sold nine shorts, and am negotiating a book deal but that is still in the future. I have an interested publisher but it still may all fall through. I hate the ego crap, tho, so instead of copping tude I have no right to, I'll offer to help you out if I can...and if you want. One big tip up front - score a copy of the Writer's Market - even an older one. You can get them used fairly cheap on Amazon.
Other than that what do you write, fic, nonfic, prose, shorts, poems?

its just because i have to work 40 hours in practice a week at 80p an hour and then my reading, essays on top of that
and then coz i only get 80p an hour i have to work two long shifts on my days off as im not allowed a loan as im classed as being payed

I have a profile on Myspace but I haven't ever added a single thing to it. It's bare bones.

I'm just not interested in pimping myself and keeping my nose up everyone's asses. I don't want to represent myself. I like to lay low, keep a low profile and keep under the radar. I'm not into playing the rat race of life. I'm not into networking. I'm not into making as many friends as I can. I'm not into letting anyone else know what I'm thinking or feeling.

Facebook = my most used with about 100 friends or something
MySpace = mostly just used for my music journalism; makes it easy to bypass PR people and management.
Bebo = where all my kiwi friends are, but I avoid as much as possible as it's chavvy and I hate it

I really just use them initially to keep in touch with my NZ friends (it's hard to keep up when you're on the other side of the world), but facebook is mostly my UK friends... I often use it instead of text messaging now, and it's good for sharing photos from nights out with everyone.

I don't have a myspace. I don't feel like I have a use for it. I don't know what facebook is.

I have a facebook account but I never use it anymore except for looking up people's emails.
