There is only me and two cousins. My dad and my brother may seem like Aspies because of their distance however they actually go towards the narcissist spectrum.

My entire family is skip-roping along the spectrum, though I'm the only one who has sought a professional diagnosis (we did know about my brother, he's like a text book example...). My mom seems to be on the border, but we're not sure what she is. She has a lot of traits. My dad is a lot like me, and my oldest son is definitely (diagnosed). Not sure about my youngest son though. He's got oddities so I don't think he's NT exactly, but we'll see. Both of my grandpas had definite traits and I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would deny them being on the spectrum. My dad calls it our own specific syndrome lol (mainly because we get the "but you're too social to be autistic!" even though I've been through the diagnosing and all). We don't fit the "classic" definition that people expect from autistics.
(technically aspie, though I get confused about the DSM5 removing that and find it just easier to say we're on the spectrum)

I've suspected that my mother is an undiagnosed Aspie ever since I, myself, was diagnosed.

I also have an uncle (mother's brother) in Australia who I've never met. He was diagnosed Aspergers around the same time I was, completely independently of my own diagnosis. I always wonder if we'd get along if/when we ever met.

My mothers' side of the family probably has a good deal of autism/autisicified ADHD going on. Only the ADHD is diagnosed.

My fathers' side of the family most likely has a lot of mental illness going on, along with a math learning disability. No one acknowledges it at all. A lot of the underlying genetic causes of autism can also cause mental illness or learning disabilities.

However, I also have a genetic mutation that lowers the threshold for autism and ADHD that occurred spontaneously due to thirteen genes disappearing around my conception. I probably have other autism genes, but it's likely this mutation that was the final straw.
