Okay Steve, You think I am acting like a jerk because I mentioned that I bought a bike for a woman that wants to go bike riding?
And somehow, because I bought a present for someone I have known for 3 years.........instead of being considered nice, I'm considered a jerk, or people insinuate that I have odd intentions? Sure, you may trust people, but you sure aren't giving me much of a chance here. You have read my posts with some type of anger ( or distrust????)and let it build from there without giving a chance.
No one has ever bought anyone a bike? Does every gift you recieve come with some sinister intentions?
Sorry, this is obviously not the best place for me to be asking these questions. Steve, I hope you don't get aggrivated with people that give you gifts. It's intended to be a nice gesture by the giving person......not some strange warped intentions of taking advantage of who knows what. Trust? Your AS must be hard to deal with, and I hope all goes well.
Sorry to everyone else for any bad comments.

I think your missing the point. It is not about having a go at you. I would say buying a bike for someone who hasn't showed much interest is rather a large gesture. A bit OTT probably something I would have done in the past. Are you sure your not AS? I think your judgment is out. It is very easy for someone to get the wrong idea. It is true what steve said you can't buy her friendship. I think buying her that bike was a grave error.
There was an article somewhere I read about being too nice. There is nice and too nice. Being too nice is undesirable. It makes you vulnerable and people think your not being sincere. My martial arts sifu say you must show respect but not at the expense of your own self-respect.

Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, the Maratha country,
in the Dravida country, Utkala (Orissa) and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
it mingles in the rhapsodies of the also waters Jamuna and the Ganges.
They chant only thy name,
they seek only thy blessings,
They sing only thy praise.
The saving of all people waits in thy hand,
thou dispenser of India's destiny.
Victory, Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.

I was just wanting to go out and do stuff with her.
I think for the moment you should just forget about the going out thing. She doesn't seem good with physical activities and small-talking, I don't know what she should enjoy in these projects of yours. Try a boardgame.
I think that, if you want to appeal to people, the first thing you shouldn't do is trying to change them.

I'm sorry because I didn't realize the amounts of mistrust that must come with having AS.
You just don't appear to have a real reason to give so much gifts to someone you still don't click with. This doesn't sound fishy only to AS dumb or young.
