Dunno if that has anything to do with aspie traits, though. Except to the extent they link to general geekiness.

Ahahah that's awesome dude! Repping the oldskool.

Up until this year I have been working on racing games for console (PS2 and XB360) Now I do it part time while I study. I mainly play FPS and racing games. I am also a diehard PC gamer ironically enough.

I never got into video games. I like reading instead. My parents bought me an Atari back in grade school and if my mom hadn't gotten addicted to it, it would have set on a shelf and collected dust. Same thing with the Sega Genesis I had in college - ended up giving it to a roommate.

Same here. New ones are lame compared to old ones. Heck, Sonic 2 is better than Sonic Heroes! Look at the differences though, one is 3D, the other is 2D, one is old, and one is new.

That's not a valid generalization across all games though. The Sonic series has been falling apart for years, and the review scores refelct that. (Actually, going back to the older games, they're not all that great either IMO, though much better than the 3D ones.)

Do you guys just prefer 2D gameplay? If so, you might want to pick up a DS, and possibly a PSP. The DS and GBA (whose games the DS will play) have primarily 2D games, which is why I've been a huge fan of them. I don't automatically prefer 2D over 3D, but 3D game styles do NOT replace 2D styles, so I want to continue being able to buy newer, better versions of stuff like the Metroid gameplay, etc.

Yes, I play video games mainly on my xbox 360 but, I'm not what you would call a ,"Hardcore Gamer" nah, in fact I play video games oh, once and awhile yet, my favorites can be some of the quirky games from the 80's to the graphically stunning games of today.Still, the point be being a fan of video game does not make one eccentric... :)

I like one game I have, a pinball game. My goal was to get the highest score. It took me about four hours to get my record. I believe I wasted time better spent on other things.

I could have wrote this. I don't hate them, but I never really got the video game thing.

Tetris, WoW, Dr. Mario, anything role playing really, and I've found some interesting games where you have to set up shop and "climb to the top"... um... sorry, brain failing me to describe at the moment, lol. Games like Diner Dash and Fairy Godmother's Tycoon, though, if that explains at all :P
