That's very interesting...I have notches/bumps on my right ear. I remember hearing a long time ago that many autistics have low set ears and wider eyes, which is why autistic children were often thought to be unusually beautiful.

Mine are narrow and a bit pointy at the top.

I have extra skin at the ear opening. I can't fit those headphones that go into the ear. I can't even get my pinky finger in my ear, otherwise they look normal, I think.

only thing "differant" about my ears is that when I put earphones in my ears (the kind that don't have the wire that crosses over the top of your head and attaches the L and R) one of them POPS out after a few minutes. Its almost like my ear dosen't like company. heh

I imagine if I didn't blow my eardrums out via loud music I'd have much more sensitive hearing. I always thought that this was one of the things that didn't bother me so much but now that I think about it it does actually and I do get tinnitus.

Careful with the loud music! That could be causing some hearing loss, which would also lead to tinnitus.

I answered "Yes" because I get recurring ear infections and sometimes weird bumps in my earlobes.

My left ear looks perfectly normal. On my right ear though, I have a kind of tip, but it points down, like it is rolled along with the rim of the cup of my ear. I once read somewhere that this kind of "ear tip" can occur in humans and is considered an atavism as many mammals have pronounced ear tips. I don't know whether that is true though, after all many other primates also have rounded ears.

I had constant ear infections as a child and really probably should have had tubes put in them. I was also told as a teenager by my peditration that my cannals were curved and it's hard for them to drain properly. I was always getting in trouble for putting things down my ears but they itched SO BAD. They still do. I have a "natural stud earing" on my right ear lobe and was constantly harassed about it in kindergarden and first grade by other kids. I don't know why it never occured to me to take some paint and color it in and make all the other kids thing I just had an earring. Of course if I thought like that back then I could have just said, "Because that's how I roll" when asked about it.

As an adult, I find birds are facinated by it. This litte conure at a pet expo a macaw kept licking at it and little conure tried to bite it off. I was secretly hoping s/he would.

That's like me. I always cover my ears with my hair.
Bit TMI but I have an earwax problem. No matter how much I clean them it's still there.

Attached ear lobe. Sensitive hearing. Had to wear earplugs in water. I frequently had earaches but this was probably a jaw alignment problem from grinding teeth and chewing on things, but who knows.

I heard attached ear lobes are more common in those with ASD. I have a sibling with autism spectrum disorder who had lots of ear infections as a child.

My ears stick out a bit, but so do my dad's. I don't think it's anything out the ordinary.

They were somewhat "elfish", when I was a child. Later they became round. I wear industrial in my left ear.
They have small holes, so I can't use small headphones.
