I hate ultrasound and low voices more than anything. I particularly find most chargers to be VERY annoying and also sounds such as people talking in the distance and clocks ticking are VERY distracting for me. I hate loud voice, too, but it is mostly limited to people yelling (which mostly happens near my ear :() and things such as car beeping and motorcycles... but I don't find the sound of a vaccuum cleaner particularly annoying or torturesome.

I can't stand certain kinds of brushing: brushing a concrete floor with a hard brook, cleaning out a frying pan with a brush, brushing teeth (even my own teeth 8O).

That noise they call "music" these days!

Beeping (oven timers, computers, etc.)

Annoying cell phone ring tones (Usually a rap song, but "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" irritates me beyond belief, too)

Dogs barking (Ironically, it is not the full throated barking of big dogs that gets to me. They sound like dogs are intended to sound, IMO. The little yappers get to me.)

Rude people talking on cell phones in the library.

Cat fights (More scary than annoying. I worry it may be one of my ferals.)

Motorcyles roaring up and down the street.

Rough-looking people who hang around the library talking loud enough to be heard, using foul language. (Scary, too.)

I'm sorry I would scare you.
In debate on a topic I am firm in my research with I can be very intimidating.

There are certain noises that bother me but it's hard to list because it varies. Few high pitch sounds bother me, they have to be real loud. Those high shrieks two year old do startle me and some sounds of things clanging together both me like the sounds of a bunch of CD cases being tossed on the ground, that bothered me. Sometimes a dog's bark bother's me when they are barking in doors and their sound is echoing. I get bothered when a bunch of people talk in one room at work in the cafateria so I sit in the locker room. Loud base bothers me, some buzzing sounds from lights, some sirens, some phones, some alarms, loud cheers around me, monster trucks, and race cars.

Nothing gets on my nerves worse than a loud talker.

Now really violent noises like car alarms or train horns scare the bejeezus out of me, loud talkers is the one noise I just can't tolerate.

Certain loud sudden noises, like mother clearing throat, father snoring, and my sister singing. Also I have a goat now who has a loud deep throated baa! sound, when it is upset. All these sounds make me feel distressed and upset. So loud voices mostly.

Vacumm, hair dryer, some beeping alarms, cars' claxons in crowded streets, my sister talking or yelling (shei s 10 years old and talks very loud, it's annoying), very loud music used for publicity on streets and markets, my neighbors' motorcycles roaring up and down the street . . .

Just about everything on that list and that people have mentioned give me chills just imagining them.

And people wonder why I'm usually in a bad mood :P

anything with a lot of bass hurts my ears or will make me nauseous, cars next to me when driving-just car sounds in general (I actually turn up my radio just to not hear other cars or my own while driving, even though the bass bothers me a lot also)

Vacuum cleaners are awful. I also get very annoyed by the sounds of chewing, kissing, and teeth sucking.

Any loud noise that isn't music but other than that I really can't stand the sounds of people knocking on doors, phones ringing, doors shutting, and teeth grinding.

The heavy bassline in much of today's music is not only annoying, but it makes my heart beat funny and makes me sick to my stomach.

The noise of a car backfiring will just about knock me on my butt.

People who talk in an overly gushy, condescending manner.
