How do I get rid of it?

Just try to admire from afar from the most part. Don't bombard them with messages; you'll come across as a creepy lady if you do that. In real life you'd be good for a screw and not much else. If you have a discussion with them compliment them when the time is right and leave it at that.

It's quite all right, you're not the first young lady who's become enamoured of me.
I take it as a compliment, really I do.
My posts are fascinating and all that, so I can't blame you for reading each and every one ! !!
I'm erudite, and quite frankly, devilishly handsome (aren't I?)
Go ahead, as the previous posts have said, pm me ! !!
It's OK, now that you've confessed your obssession ! !!

LOL :P

my problem is (unlike yours) that i am ACTUALLY dull and boring, and the opposite sex make it very clear that they arnt interested in me that way.

i find you interesting, so maybe this person does?

you want to PM that person you like....

Girls find me boring and dull as well. The only ones who like me are the ones who think I'm weird and geeky so they think it's cute to look after me. At least you have a higher chance of one liking you than I do. :)

Yep stalking is not stalking unless you are you are relating to the real person rather than a fictionalised persona. For instance if I went round to Freya’s house, but thought she was the fairy godmother. That wouldn't be stalking.

Well that explains the strange guy in the bushes with a pumpkin hollering that he wanted me to make him feel pretty.

that is histarical!

Soph, I agree, you have a friend to gain, and if they don't reciprocate the feelings you have, well then, it may hurt, but you are being driven nuts anyway.

What is the worst that could happen? They don't feel the same, at least you know, and in knowing, you may be hurt or disapointed but it should help you get over it. Also it isn't that embarassing, it is an online relationship, and you can then just go on your different ways. No one is going to call you out or make you feel bad for it, all it would be is a difference in feelings. It isn't like you are going to High School with this person!

You're probably all right. I wouldn't know what to say though. I might do it tonight if I feel brave enough. Would alcohol help do you think?

you would think that, but as you have stated that there are ones that do like you, and i have stated that they all avoid me and are repulsed by me...

what kind of chance do i have if they wont even let me talk to them?

Personally I would use your smarts. Set up an arranged Penpal thread. Hopefully they'd want to join in. Say that there is a random draw as to who gets to be who’s penpal but fix it so...oh s**t I said too much.

They only like me in a patronising way though or as if they want to look after me because I'm weird and never know what I'm doing. Most girls are straight, so you've statistically still got a higher chance. Try having Aspergers, SAD and being gay. :P Then again, maybe it's just me.

all i gotta do then, is find a way to get them to talk to me...

then convince them im interesting and witty/funny...

persuade them to look beyond my looks and see that its the person inside that matters...

then find a way to get them to fall in love with the person i am inside... :?

well.... its a plan i guess

personally i would rather take the odds that i would win the Lottery three weeks in a row...

Maybe we should write up a wrongplanet agreement that all obsessees must allow access to their obsessors.

I have been obsessed/ semi-obsessed with a few people here and the other AS boards, and have had two who were obsessed with me. One scared me, the other didn't.

That's why I don't want to say anything, I'm worried I wil scare her. I've had someone obsessed with me before and constantly talking to me and trying to get me to go out etc. so I know that can be annoying and wouldn't want to seem like I was bothering them all the time or anything. I'm not obsessed in a scary way or anything. I just really really like them.
