Which CCSF location would you be registering for? Here is a list of the locations: http://www.ccsf.edu/Schedule/Information/bldgC.html.

Here are a few more links from the CCSF website:

Disabled Students Programs & Services: http://www.ccsf.edu/en/student-services ... /dsps.html

List of steps needed to become a Credit student (or there are other student options in the left side panel): http://www.ccsf.edu/en/future-students/ ... dents.html

Dates & Times for the All-In-One Orientation: http://www.ccsf.edu/en/future-students/ ... ation.html.

The available days are:

NOVEMBER 19
DECEMBER 3
DECEMBER 10
DECEMBER 14
DECEMBER 17

You have to register/apply before attending the All-In-One orientation but the registration link is broken. Have you registered yet? Here's the phone number to call (the online link is broken): (415) 239-3124. Maybe someone can call the number for you.

There's also an Online Orientation here: https://www.ccsf.edu/~or/wordpress/?page_id=16.

...Thank you .
It's not going to be this weekend now anyhow :( , and , having received an E-mail reply from the Disabled Services director at CCSF in response to mine - he suggested we " speak via phone " too-morrow about 1 PM - I had to tell him that my phone is de-minutesed , I haven't heard from him in response to that .
I seem to walk even more " crippled-ly " when I am not carrying a big pack , I've said that before here - Even if , say , I was in a shelter and could get around curfew/getting up requirements , I think that , even then , I could use a ride & a shoulder  - It would not be this weekend , anyway ~ but , couldn't someone help me with these few steps , so to speak , I need initially to proceed further  .
I am not asking for money of gifts , remember ~ Just a ride & a shoulder for this , help with filling out the forms + requests if I cannot find them othewrise (Remember , I am banned from the library as well) .

I thought there was someone in SF who was helping you register. What is the status with that? What help do you need that the person in SF isn't helping with?

...I painstakingly put up links one digit , going back and ~ This illustrates " the lack of basic computer knowledge " on my part that I am always speaking of here .
For WP - can you do that ???????
I know Tobes put up links already , I just mean in general , for ya .

Just look on the CCSF website, under "orientation." They seem to do them every two weeks.

I don't know how to post links on WP.

I've just emailed someone at CCSF regarding your situation and will let you know if there is a more streamlined way of enrolling that can be done quickly and easily. I've also asked if you can just enroll on the day of orientation.

...Quick-looking now , I see all but 1 future All-In-one start in the morning - But the only one that does not , well , if I am ina shelter at that time , I could run afoul of a shelter curfew on that schedule (which it occurred to me could even be the case with a morning start-time) ! :(

Years ago, when I served on a federal Social Services Block Grant committee for my county, we helped fund the largest of shelters in our state. During our review visit of the facility, we were told that its hours were followed precisely (to prevent the problems of people coming and going at all hours) ... but, that individuals with good reason(s) could be excused from the time restrictions for things like medical appointments and school classes or meetings which are helpful to become more independent.

So, if I were you, I would discuss bending the time restrictions for your college orientation meeting(s). The shelter workers should be accommodating for you. Good luck.

Forget the 8:45am start. FORGET IT. Take it out of your mind completely.

I've emailed the people at CCSF. The admission's office at CCSF's main campus is open until 5pm... read it, 5pm... Monday to Thursday... and until 4pm on Friday.

THAT is what you need to know. So, it's just a matter of getting there when you can during the week, before the office closes. You can do that. Once there, the staff should give you all of the information you need. You can explain your situation and they should understand regarding early starts, orientation, everything.

...The morning-starting date would seem to be the " sensible " one , as " authority figures " see thing...And , frankly , the combined test/registration/counseling IS listed as taking up a considerable amount of time :( .
Dec. 17 , a week prior to Christmas Eve , would seem to be the last chance to sign up in time for early/-ish Jan. , I would think :( .

...This last weekend , I spent an overnight in the hospital...I was wobbly on my feet , and numb in the hands , on a rainy day (Cold wetness makes my hands palsied :( ) - and I hadn't taken my perscription meds since they'd been stolen two Thursdays ago and I was becoming ever more tired/exausted and hobbled :( .
I was in l'hopital one night , then was discharged , driven to a big shelter...Where , seeing a big line , I (1) anticipated a long wait , with my heavy (& wet-ish) bag  and then , possibly , (2) having to sit up all night upright and (3) perhaps getting no additional food - I left , and PAINSTAKINGLY ! , slowly , walked up to my usual area , bag in tow :( .
Then , getting food , I saw the Sunday national NYT with its article about " today's autistic college students " and I bought it ~ to CRY ! , and HOWL ! over it ~ in a nearby closed store entranceway  ~ At least one here thinks I should be in a group home , presumably for the rest of my life ~ I suppose suicide is a sin , but maybe if I just wait to die , be found in an alley somewhere , or maybe if I'm " lucky " be found dead in some flea-ish SRO and be the subject of some feature stiry about " another forgotten death on the wrong side of San Francisco " .

...It should first be pointed out that , the only reason I got as far along in the registering & trying for aid process is that I had the help of that worker then , which I have no more .
If I am to go any further , I need someone else who will help me :( .
I have recived " Se5nd us back a reply ! " response from the government regarding the first steps to try and get aid ~ I NEED TO FOLLOW UP ON THAT .
I CANNOT " DO IT MYSELF " ! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! No how . If I don't follow up , perhaps they'll junk my case :( .
I still have not heard from my HOT Team worker :( .

...The HOT Team worker is , to spell it out , not the worker (from the former place) who helped me with the applications ~ She was a female . The HOT team one is a man ~ And , he has not responded to messages I left for him , giving him an E-mail address of mine , over the last three-week period ! :(
You really cannot expect me to do college & aid applications all on my own ~ CAN YOU ?
And , yes , I AM AN EMOTIONALLY SCARRED & BURNED , PHYSICAL CRIPPLE .
CAN'T I have someone initially hold my hand , emotionally speaking , when I go into the " stairway " of the college for the first time ?
The college kids in that NYT story GET SO MUCH MORE  .
Also , even if I do get in , AND get sufficient do$h for classes , fees and books and tech - Briefly , unless my health , as well as background/residential situation improves by that projected January 2017 ~ I likely cannot do the classes , or at least a sharply reduced number than I had planned .
Just for one reason ~ Any books and tech I had in a shelter would be prone to be stolen :( .
Remember what happened to me before  ?

...I put an addition to this that didn't go up :( . My point was , to stat up - say that IF I got into wanted classes , AND :( , got sufficient grant $/dosh for the tuition AND other fees AND books and tech required - I rather think that , judging fo=rom my experiences in shelters before , the books and especially tech might be emitting a glowing green " Steal Me " sign  !
Also , AspieUtah , perhaps the shelters you speak of were enlightened - But I anticipate , if I try to go to CCSF while in a shelter , not enough space to work , maybe not enough light to read comfortably , petty rules not allowing me time to work - aside from my own doubts about summoning up enough energy , both physical and mental , to take notes/do reports , especially with might still be pretty minimal equipment :( -That , oh yeah , I don't know how to work said tech  .
I still would like to apply , see IF , if I CAN get in , I can manage to do it in January .
Whatever , however , to do that I would need LOADS more help than is offering itself to me right now  .
