Addendum:

I don’t “function” around more than one person at a time; I cannot learn or listen to anything, it’s all a blur
Complete social and academic failures in everything I’ve done
I cannot learn or listen to anything that I’m not “obsessed” over
I don’t speak to anyone other than my mother; professionals get the monotonous mad man; everyone else gets nothing

Physically I’m good; I can look after myself well enough, i.e., “survive”; self-harm or self-stimulation behaviour is completely covert; “outwardly” I look “normal” but “shy”; I can do physical stuff around the yard without trouble, I can do all of the house chores if needed without trouble. I can grocery shop, pay the bills and whatever (“survive”). I'm "smart" and this is why I'm labelled HFA.

Personally, I would say 8 because of the amount of social and academic failures I've experienced; nowhere near 10 because I can look after myself and others without too much trouble as long as I'm placed into a job by the government or they give me some money each fortnight.

No clue how to answer this... severe as in day to day stuff? as in social stuff? as in whether or not I can take care of myself? etc....

Well, I haven't worked in 5 years.... that's got to account for a couple of points.
I ignore a LOT of things I shouldn't because of my interests.... could be another one or 2?
I throw adult "temper tantrums"
Sensory overload...
Every time someone asks how I'm doing I'm instantly confused....

Meh, I can't do it, lol-can't figure it out... too many things to think about and ways to look at it...

It’s generally assessed as a combination of social, academic and vocational performance when compared to the “normal” people by professionals.

okay, so socially I'd be at about a 6-7 I guess... I can do it, but it's not easy and I'm often confused.

academic-not sure... 5-6?

vocational-10

lol, I'm pathetic XD Mine doesn't vary, but I also don't go out much. I suppose it will change given some time of course.

Everyone is to some extent.

I'd be:
Social -- 10
Academic -- 10
Vocational -- 10

I'm completely useless to modern society.

LOL! So did I!! ! and academic, sadly-even worse, I was an english major a good while back

I guess where I'm having probs really putting a number to it is I'm pretty impaired in all 3 areas, but have no clue how I actually match up to what someone considered a 10 would be. Where I feel I might be a 10, I might be mild to someone else, etc.

I saw the word “vocational” on TV when there was an ad dealing with jobs and stuff.

I.e., “I” in academia would probably mean you can get along as well as everyone else with your intelligence level; “X” would be completely failing everything no matter how intelligent you are.... If you did “well” in school I’d say that you’re near “I-III” depending on how intelligent you are. Yeah it’s ambiguous.... It gives an "overall" picture though.

"X" in social skills would be zero friends and/or acquittances, and you’d be unable to function in a social environment at all.

X in vocational skills would equate to you being unable to get a job and being unable to maintain a job if it's given to you.

It's "normal" (I) to "worst" (X).

I'd put myself at 2.

Social 3
Academic 5
Vocational 7

Might be higher on all, because I'm currently not functioning and rely on my father and family for room and board.

Could be, and probably am, wrong.

As I have not yet concluded on wether I have Asperger's, I can not decide on a number.
However, I suppose that I would be high- or mid-functioning, as I do indeed function in society, just... poorly so.

I function worst around the 'judging good christian'-type person. Could that be somehow relevant to that academic-category of which is spoken?

I guess from 3-7 depending on what kind of situation I am in.

On average about 3-4.

I'd say a range of 2 to 7. Average about 4.5. Two is when I'm relaxed, mostly alone or with one person I'm really comfortable with. Seven is when I'm stressed out and can't retreat to my lair.

People can always tell that I'm odd. They don't know how odd. If they were living in my home with me - they would be amazed how odd I am.

Generally about a 2, but in certain situations, like parties or other social situations which I find stressful, it can be as high as 5.

I humbly say a 9 or a 10. I have strong obsessions, and a lack of bowel control that came back after many years of being obsessivley clean.
