Opposite for me, was not born in US but moved when young. For the most part, my voice sounds bland New Englandish, but still have traces of Cantonese in voice. Apparently, not big deal. I still struggle to speak sometimes and apparently my voice sounds different in my own ears. Problem is, I find it very easy to determine the tone of myself, but I have a hard time controlling it.
