Because of the time factor, I'm switching over to mostly sandwiches and snack bars or fruit for snacks. My work shifts are long and I have s**t to do organizing a new apartment.

Even with that, I want to mix it up a bit. I have Peanut Butter and Jam. I also have deli meat, cheese, lettuce, and mustard. I'm also picking up precooked / smoked salmon and I have with lettuce and a bit of dressing on toasted bread. The salmon is a 2 pack on the pricey side, but I might pick them up once a week.

I can't cook much at all. I know how to do things like macaroni and cheese from a box, ramen noodles, and frozen pizza.

No, I don't cook my own food even though I do want to learn.

If anyone who reads this has any recommendations of good cookbooks, PM me.

No I don't cook. I eat out 364 days a year but I don't eat breakfast or lunch so it doesn't cost that much. Also I eat anything so I don't know if food indifference is related? I think y'all are amazing who can cook! Also I have to eat ALONE and if someone I know enters the restaurant I tend to just drink wine from that point on because I lack the co ordination to eat without ending up in whatever I am eating.... probably why I don't eat till I'm finished work :( :( :D :D seriously how does an adult get food in their hair.

*AnonymousAnonymous- I was given the cookbook titled: The Silver Palette Cookbook, and it’s a good one. I mainly use cookbooks for baking, however. I have a fondness for children's cookbooks, and what’s nice about them is the instructions include photos and illustrations.

I just found this photo onlne, of my first cookbook. Although, my copy has remnants of chocolate and vanilla icing on the cover.

Totally do my own cooking. Have my own Jackson Pollock abstract expressionist style of cooking. Mostly do stuff you can riff on off the top of your head with out rigidly adhereing to a recipe. Do meat balls, and omlettes a lot. The latter I like to dice up and mix with rice (was inspired by Chinese chicken fried rice and its little piece of scallions and scrambled egg to mix omlets with rice to turn American type omlettes into quasi Chinese dishes).

Cooking isn't a problem. Its cleaning up after that is a problem. In college had roommates to alternate cooking with clean up. When I moved back home mom and I would swap clean up and cooking. But now I live alone and hafta do both chores.
