Just learning everything there is to know about whatever my current special interest is, which is typically nothing even remotely useful or interesting to most people (although if you really want to talk about Pokemon and Hellraiser (not in any connection to each other, just happen to be two of my current special interests), I'd be delighted to). Other than that, I'm not even really decent at anything. I'm not even actually good at Pokemon - the stats, IVs, etc. are more than my poor little brain can handle, I just use Pokemon I like with a good variety of types in my party. I do enjoy trying to catch 'em all, though.

Oh, and ending up rambling about my special interests, although I try to at least be sensitive with the subjects I bring up (particularly since I'm really into body horror right now).

Otherwise, absolutely nothing - not anything I've found yet, anyway.

Most of the things I am good at involve the physical sciences in some way. I have been classified as a facts absorber, especially if it involves either history or science. Thinking creatively has always been a strong point of mine. I can read the scientific literature and easily make certain connections with seemingly totally different research areas. I have used that skill to build up some of my past research projects. One of those projects was awarded 1st place at a university wide convention on research ideas (out of 300+ projects). It used to frustrate my fellow graduate students to come up with new ideas, something that they constantly struggled with and some just could not do at all. Yet, I could do it with ease, almost automatically.

I have highly developed mental visualization abilities and can use this to "see" multiple dimensions at the same time, including their interactions as objects move around. This greatly helps me in my research on what makes up sub-atomic particles. The formation of neutrinos (and their anti-forms) in nuclear transformations is but one of my special topics that I am currently working on in that area.

Unfortunately, some of my skills come at a cost though. I have a dark side that I have to control, least I create "monsters" when I am angry. Due to severe bullying in my youth, I spent enormous amounts of energy in developing revenge tactics, something that I am not proud of. This lead to me having to encode toxic ideas"with music so that I do not think about them until I "need" to.

I have been too far advanced in some of my research ideas and had to wait (and in some cases, still waiting) for the technology to evolve to a point that it can be used to test them. If I had the funding, I could potentially fix that issue, but alas, I am just a poor university teacher. Life does not always go as planned. It can be irritating, but I have learned to accept it for what it is.

Propagating plants classified as "almost impossible to propogate" and being a natural at cat whispering are two of the most satisfying of my current catalogue of positive skills.

People have also noticed and commented that I have a rare habit of seeing rare and very rare birds in completely unexpected places (and I do! Newpapers have reported in this curious fact) so perhaps "bird whispering" is a talent still in progress :)

However the skill that I take the most comfort from is having inspired and still inspiring the love of my grandchildren, which is 150% reciprocated.

I am pretty good at video games, single-player though because when it comes to multiplayer I tend to get too nervous to be able to play correctly. I think I am pretty good at organizing(if I have too small space like when organizing a room it becomes a huge problem though.) and strategizing, I am excellent at math. Other than those things I don't know what other good skills I have.

Playing the alto clarinet. It's a difficult instrument that most people don't even want to try, due to its bad reputation as an instrument that supposedly can't be played well.
I think maybe what makes it the right instrument for me is that it's a bit of an outcast, like me.

I am pretty good at repairing stuff. I've repaired many of the appliances in my home. But, since I paid off the mortgage it now makes more sense to buy new stuff.

I'm also a jack-of-all-trades.

Perhaps I also have a talent for loneliness. I have a grand total of 0 friends.

Well, I have a notably good memory and can often recall small details about an event that I have experienced.

This also goes for TV shows and music, if a song uses a sample from another song that I recognise, I am quick to place it. As for TV shows, just by watching a few clips I can tell if I've seen that episode and exactly what happened in it, even if I only saw it once and it was a year ago.

Drawing things and creating 3D models from memory is also a skill of mine, and I am also good at visualising a situation in my imagination. This helps when it comes to writing.

Speaking of visualisation, when it comes to hypothetical situations I am often quick when asked to come up with a solution to find one.

People often ask me how long I have been thinking of a solution, because it sounds as though it is well thought out and detailed plan even though I only just came up with it when asked.

Sometimes in class I have been tasked to speedily come up with an idea for a marketing campaign or new TV show, and I've managed to come up with some decent ideas despite the limited time.

I am also fairly good at pinpointing where small sounds are coming from, my hearing is excellent. Perhaps a little too good, it can be a bit much sometimes in busy environments.

Putting words on paper.

Also, apparently, I'm "funny."

I have great rotary memory... when I have Spanish vocab tests and I forgot to revise the vocabulary (which was sometimes 1 and a half A4 pages to learn) I would only have 2-5 minutes to go over the vocabulary, and most of the time I get either full marks or just under.
