If "recent" means "it went away" it might have been having to take a day off for dizzy spells, since I was working on my roof. Getting it done in time was a big mood-booster - I hadn't worked that hard and steady in many years, so count that as a positive issue. My ongoing struggle is to get enough sleep to enjoy life and deal with people.

I'm at the "use it or lose it" stage. A groan is the body's caveman language for "you better do a couple more reps if you want to do that at all next year." I miss having exercise built into my daily life, and may get back to wood heat for that reason, among others. Currently, I'm using my road bike on a generator stand to get the old red corpuscles trudging around, but I should do more. Exercise, preferably with sunshine, is the best anti-depressant I know of.

Three years ago, I almost ran over my toe when mowing the lawn, but luckily, my toenail caught the outside edge of the deck, saving my foot and not even getting broken. However, it stopped growing. The doctors said that the blow had let a fungus take hold, and the cure, if I wanted to bother saving it, was an oral medication that would require monthly blood tests to see if my liver was being damaged too much by it. An on-line search recommended treating the nail itself with Tea Tree Oil. I did that instead, and it is working just fine.
