Is there a specific bulb brand/product you can recommend?

I forgot what the brand was, but it was a replica of an older bulb I found at Walmart, of all places. They claimed to copy an Edison bulb but the filament was a coiled type. The glass part is a little bit yellow.

I use it for desk light.

Another fun light I have recently been messing with is a regular 60-watt GE incandescent in an "Emeralite" desk lamp my brother had. It's the old banker's lamp with the green glass shade on it. Light is nice and bright for my books or Kindle, and the green doesn't hurt my eyes.

Would a 20 or 25 watt light bulb work, soft white?

I have to wonder how long you will have an office if you have so much trouble with making decisions.

That might be a bit harsh, don't you think? Likely bluecountry is already working and doing a fine job but wants to get the office "just so." And there's nothing wrong with that; even Aspies aren't weird enough to want some barren Dilbert-looking cubicle.

20 to 25 might work if it's a more modern light, LED or something, but it's up to you. Really, a good lamp or lighting fixture is as important as what bulb you put in it. Experiment a little bit.

Experiment a bit is what I'd advised last time. I didn't think I was getting through.

Yeh I know nothing about light bulbs, and have kept all of this to myself aside from the board.

I have had to guess at buying cameras, music gear, and computers, and not too infrequently, the first one has just taught me what to look for the next time, sometimes quite soon. On small-dollar purchases, the time spent on research can be a lot more costly than the item.

I just use the provided overhead florescent lights in my office. I did bring in a small desk lamp but I never used it.
