I am NT and I had to laugh because this is exactly my natural personality. Maybe only my husband knows that these days. I take great measures to not "Chevy Chase" at people now.

There is a lot to be said for letting dumb people tell you things you already know. You may learn something new. I thought I was a hopeless case with learning to swim until a 9 year old boy gave me some suggestions. The way he said things somehow clicked for me.

Are you implying that people are "dumb" if they tell you something you already know?
