I've been accused of trolling in the adult forum by someone who shall remain nameless, and have even been accused of being a sock-puppet by this same person. I've also been accused of being a chav (whatever the smeg that means), and all I have done is retaliate to some of the rubbish that was being posted in the thread in the first place. I am relatively new to this forum, and if I am banned because of this person's behaviour, I will make sure they go down as well.

I like to chat on anything funny, sensible, or intelligent; but when I'm attacked by a lot of hyperbole and verbosity, then I will fight back.

so you are so full of jealousy and hate of the rich, you want the government to make sure there is no way in hell you will ever be able to get ahead and want the government to tear them down to your level, by the way who do you work for ? a poor man ?

was your house or apartment built by a poor man ?

do you put money in a IRA,401K or have a pension plan and have the money invested in stocks ?

do you enjoy your computer and all the other gadgets we have now that wealthy people invested millions in developing and marketing so they could make more money ?

according to people like you the government should take away wealthy peoples money and redistribute what's left after they pay themselves big bucks so the poor can waste it on booze and junk that ends up in a landfill instead of investing it in housing,factories and other things that make peoples lives better.

you should have built up slower, and gained a relationship, and I would have been so gullible (being an Aspie) that I would have really bought into it, but you came on so quick and so vitrolic. . .you tipped your hand.

I admit - I like trolling But I haven't done it for a looong time. I like presenting a funny problem (but presented in a serious way) and later I am rolling on the floor laughing, having read the replies. After all I don't hurt anybody with my innocent jokes People love giving good advice so why should I deprive them of this pleasure

For example I present myself as a mother of disabled 16 year old who has to uses crutches to walk, who was always helped out by me and my husband and now is completely unable to do things on her own - "do you think that it may be caused by our overprotectiveness"? Or: "My boyfriend is 37 year old while I'm almost 14 - do you think our love has chance to survive?" Such threads always atract people. If your style of writing is serious many people won't guess you're just practising trolling

No i'm not psychic, I read your post and you said tax the rich, if you aren't able to write a simple sentance and get your point across, your mental capabilities are seriously lacking

I've developed a habit of trolling lately. Of course, I tend to aim for people who deserve it... they make for a bigger challenge. Trolling somethinawful is always good for sport, and failing that, there's a certain art in trolling 4chan. And let's face it, that's all 4chan is good for. I've taken to posting a signature image every time I succesfully piss them off, just to let them know I did it for fun. Salt in the wound, I guess.

A sort of cyber-'up-yours' sort of thing, I guess. I s'pose there are people who have nothing better to do, and most trolls would do it if they just feel comfortable in sniping at others so they can either piss them off or try to make out they are right. I, however, don't call it trolling when you are retaliating on a person's behalf or sticking up for their point of view and the person you are having a go at refuses to see that they are doing anything wrong in the first place. What I'd really like to see is people being left to do what they want, be it resurrect threads etc, or be able to put their views on anything accross without someone else going off on a tangent and saying their idea of free speech is being subverted. Some people, especially the one I described earlier, should be old enough to know better, and unfortunately, retaliation had to take place.

On a women's forum that I frequent, some relative newbie posted something about a family crisis, and when this person didn't provide an update, some people started attacking this poster who wasn't around to defend themselves. I got sick of this, so I started comming to this person's defense, only to be attacked myself. I've been with this particular forum for almost a year, and have never done anything before to get the attacks. Now, that drama cycle is gone, so the forum is back to normal for the next month or so.

What really irks me, is that I have challenged this particular person to have an honest debate, and would have even called a truce; but all he seems to want to do is attack a member of the forum to whom I was seeing was a victim of his cowardly attacks in the first place. He accuses this person of resurrecting old posts and threads, and burying anything he has to say, just because his opinions aren't held paramount and he thinks he can get away with this just because he was once a mod. I'd report his actions, but I'm not sure if Alex is wanting to get involved, as he is believe to have said he would rather people work it out for themselves. Others are starting to blame me too, because I am new and I'm jumping to the defense of this other person. He claims we are circumventing free speech, but isn't that just waht he is doing? Unfortunately, I don't know how to give him cyber-slaps, so I've had to retaliate in my own way. if I'm banned, he is going down too.

yes anyone with a opinion that doesn't match the majority of posters at a forum is something called a troll. That way the majority can just blow off anyone who has a different veiw of things and ignore any possablity their own veiw might be wrong. It's like sticking ones head in the sand or covering their ears because they don't want to hear anyones opinion but their own.

so if people don't agree with a liberal, they are either full of hate or a troll, arrogant liberals know it all and don't even take other peoples opinion into consideration. it is entertaining

To me, trolling is like telling a story. You have to create a character in your head and figure out the story about that character. What kind of life he or she has, what job, what they look like, etc and when you make a post, you are pretending the character is making the post and that's how you lie.


I admit, I have wanted to troll before but never got myself to do it. I feel guilty if I lie and I don't know what story to make up about the character I was to pose as. I can't make up my mind what the character should be.

I have been accused of being a fake too and a troll. I have also been accused of posting under a anonymouse name. I did fight back last month but caused more trouble for myself. I made things worse.

The issue is now resolved, and things are, as Ned Flanders would put it, Okely Dokely.
