Sorry if I posted some things a bit inappropriately there mate. I don't know if I have but... reading it I kinda sounded not serious enough sorta imo.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age and was put on ritalin. I took it everyday for more than 12 years.. than I stopped for awhile to see how I would do... well I did bad in one class in college so I started again after like half a year of not taking it. I then got so depressed I was practicaly a zombie. I did some research and found out that a newer study was SUGGESTING that prolonged use of ritalin can cause permanant depressive behaviors... nice to know after 12 years. I did notice I seemed to have random and longer depressive spells as I got older. I get them a lot less often now that I am not taking it anymore.

I also have a huge problem with procrastination and sometimes I will go off to do something.. get distracted by something else.. and leave, totally forgetting to do the first thing lol. That always annoyed me...

No, you didn't say anything inappropriate. Its cool.
What I meant to say was I complain about having AS and ADHD, when there are many people in worse situations. I was being philosophical.
:) :)

I have AS with Tourette syndrome. Tourette syndrome comes with AD/HD and OCD so I am not a particularly lucky... kid... AD/HD bugs the heck out of me because I just want to sit and read but can't.

I have been diagnosed with AS and SID. I also meet the diagnostic criteria for ADHD-PI (more appropriately known simply as ADD, but the APA is foolish and seems to enjoy giving long and telescoped names to these disorders. Perhaps it makes them feel intelligent?) When my teachers sent me to the doctor in middle school for the ADD, the guy had the prudence not to give me a diagnosis, since he recognized that I didn't need to be drugged. And of course all Aspies have at least a slight tinge of OCD to them as well. :? So I guess we're all just a bunch of :jester: crazies. :jester:
And yet, this online community is so much friendlier and more tolerant than most. Few flame wars, few personal attacks. Always friendly advice, never harsh judgmental criticism. Can such a thing be found in those forums dominated by NTs?
And we're the ones with deficient social skills.

I have ADD tendencies, but I can focus amazingly well on things that interest me.
