I love wearing mine, they're ordinary long-distance lenses but they go dark when the sun hits them. I feel braver outside too, probably because I don't have the eye contact issue when I'm wearing them. Just wish they turned dark in the winter too. 8)

I want some of those. My friend has them, and he loves them. I might go to specsavers and get the two for one offer, and have one pair with that coating.

That's where I got mine from, Specsavers. It saves having to faff around changing the ordinary ones for sunglasses and back again, and having a bag full of glasses to cart around when you go out :)

My shades must be polarized, wrap around, to block out as much light as possible. The polarized lens really cuts down on the over stimulation I sometimes feel visually. I absolutely must have my sunglasses when I go out during the day and whenever I drive. Sometimes the frames bother me around my ears, I have a big head, so push the ear piece up higher on my head so it no longer is touching my ear. I often keep 2 different pairs of sunglasses handy so if I must wear them for many hours in a row I can switch if the frames start to bother me.

This is me without sunglasses 8O OUCH, this is me with sunglasses 8) much better.

You really should try a GOOD polarized lens, I know they're expensive but they are really worth it.

I hate those wrap around types. My eyelashes rub on them and tickle like crazy and drive me nuts.
I wear my ordinary specs well forward, like down my nose a bit so they are not so annoying

Also, I really don't like the look of sunglasses. It doesn't fit me... it's too pretentious and I don't know... people look arrogant when they wear sunglasses. I don't want to look arrogant.

Do I look arrogant, Mr.Pugly? :)

I had them on because my previous avatar had my picture looking straight at the camera, and I thought it might freak out some people here a bit. No more staredowns. 8)

I don't own any sunglasses and don't spend enough time in the sun to justify owning some. :? I don't think I would like to anyways, wouldn't be comfortable. I don't really like hats either unless it's really cold or I'm at a baseball game.
