STRATTERA is atomoxetine, which is now available as a generic. Might be time to talk to Uncle Sam and Joe Insurance again they might be willing to help.

- There are notes from young childhood about me wandering off, not paying attention / difficultly keeping my attention in class, or switching my attention to other tasks that interest me instead. Might just have been me being a small kid though.
- I was really disorganised during school. Always losing stuff, zoning out, occasionally attending the wrong class, difficultly with note taking. I attributed this to general scatterbrainedness.
- Finished sixthform college months later than everyone else because I was that disorganised. I was only just starting on certain projects that everyone else had already handed in. I don't know how I managed to get in such a state but my folder system was a complete mess so go figure.
- Forgetting to eat during Uni. Zoning out during lectures. More organised than Sixthform me but that's not saying much.
- I've noticed that a significant amount of my friends have received an ADHD diagnosis during adulthood. This could just be a coincidence but it's certainly a pattern I've noticed.

I mean, don't take that as a professional diagnosis or anything but if you can start a bracket to cover the cost of diagnosis I know which side I'm putting my money on.

This one was right after I was SA at age 7.
I didn't tell my teacher everything. 
She implemented a yoga and deep breathing activity so I could be the leader.
I loved that woman.

This makes me soooo sad, especially since you served the US Army. Have you tried Guanfacine? It's really cheap, if I remember correctly, and most haven't tried it.
thank you, but chances are my VA doc would not be willing to script it to me off-label, south of the border it requires a doc's script. it is normally an alpha agonist blood pressure pill. one contraindication is if one has postural [orthostatic] hypotension [me] it can worsen it. but i'd still be willing to try it if only I could.

I loved her so much I wanted her to come to my birthday parties.
She was gone for about four months during the school year for a big operation.
I was absolutely devastated until she returned.
I bumped into her in 1990, so .... 14 years later?
She didn't remember me.
She was great though.
We were in a big hippy classroom pod and sat on the floor with pillows.

I haven't ran into any teachers since school but I can see how they'd have a lot of faces/names/personalities to remember.
I'm kinda jealous, I don't really recall having any teachers that were positive towards me. My art teacher in high school comes the closest and I took until the third year I had her for her to realize I paid way closer attention than she gave me credit for.

Two memories of her:
1) When she came back from the big operation I desperately wanted attention and "love" or praise from her. I used to refuse to go out for recess (because Autism), but the day she came back I hatched a plan. I snuck a box of gold butterfly clips from her desk and took them outside in my pocket. I dumped them in a puddle of mud, then scooped them back out and took them inside to show her:
"Miss! Someone dumped your pins in the mud and I rescued them!"
I expected a big hug or to be told I was getting a medal of courage, but instead she asked how I knew they were hers. Whoops. Then she said they were muddy so I should throw them out.
2) On the last day of school we all had to line up and walk past her to shake her hand goodbye. I decided to kiss her instead. Everyone laughed at me but I thought it was worth it.
