And my cursive generally looks more consistent than my print.

My writing is so bad that it doesn't look any worse (because it couldn't) when I use my non-dominate hand.

Dang, Tim_p. How can you tell which hand is actually dominant??? (not to be rude, hehe, but um... DANG) Not that it's illegible, but there seems hardly any difference between the two.

Oh don't worry about being rude, I'd know you were lying if you said anything different!

How do I know which hand is dominant? Well, years ago my left-handed writing was much worse than that, but with my right-hand, oh boy, it was (and is) bad, I could barely form letters. I'll see if I can dig up some old school work later, it'll be good for a laugh.

I make up for it with superior mousing! :) Where's the emoticon for nerdy pride? :nerdy: Hmm, it's nerdy but it doesn't look very proud of it. Oh well this'll have to do.

My handwriting is very small, written in caps, and ranges from very precise to a little sloppy. I havn't written in cursive since I was 12 years old. My favorite writing impliment is either a very fine drafting Pencil, or an ultrafine pen such as a Sakura Micron with a .005 mm tip. --Essentially a poor man's Rapidograph.

Needless to say, My handwriting is a bit slower than my typing.

My handwriting is medium sized and average. When I was a child I got ALOT of hell from my teachers because my hand writing was so sloppy...but as I've gotten older my handwriting has changed and I believe that is due that I write a whole lot.

I wrote it quite large so that it would be more legible (and show up on the camera)

I don't have the technology to show you my writting but I have to say almost all the samples in this post are way better than my writting. I do write cursive because my printing is too slow and I don't want to spend the time. I do almost everything on a computer anyway.

My husband always says he is shocked that any mail I address reaches it's destination.

My hand writing is very small too, ever since School people have commented on it.

At university I used an A5 notebook and had two columns on a page! I will try and take some pictures of it later so people can judge how legible it is. It varies though between neat (print) and a mess which even I have trouble with. I cannot do neat cursive.

When I was at school I used to use different styles all the time, including slanting both left and right, as I was very conscious that I had to pick a style and did not know what was the right one.

Michael.

P.S. For those who do not know European paper sizes, A5 is roughly the same as an American Letter sized page folded in half top to bottom.

I've always wondered about using my laptop for notes in class because I grip my pen so hard that my hand tires easily and if I am in a long note-taking class, this is almost painful.

But doesn't the clicking of the keys distract the other people??? (I can only imagine that if another student in my class were using their laptop for notes it would distract the hell out of me-- if they were the only one that is. Everyone using computer notebooks would somehow be different.)

I don't know how to post a pic.

My handwriting is exquisitely neat. But it's all printing. I got a C in penmanship growing up, because I could not write palmer script. Still can't.
My father was an engineer. His handwriting is exquisitely neat. BTW he too has asperger's traits. He likes parts, like me, he hates social interaction like me, etc. He and I both sleep at family functions, I learned this from him. I used to read, but they kept telling me that was rude. Sleeping isn't rude if you had to drive a long distance to get to the function or if you work a lot - all true for me.

That was a tangent. MY HANDWRITING LOOKS JUST LIKE THIS.
People say it looks like typing. I have other styles that are less neat, but all of them are legible.

This is a copy of my handwriting from my old university lecture notes:

I have measured and my normal letter height seems to be 1/16th of an inch.

Michael.
