Was there a cat in the house you were emulating when you started meowing?

Funny, my kiddo used to crawl around an meow all the time!

My kiddo babbled when he was about 4-5 months...my kiddo said some basic words when he was 1yr-18mos...my kiddo stopped talking around age 2...then learned the alphabet, numbers, etc...and had echolalia and said words until he was about 5...then he started saying some two-three letter phrases...and is now saying some sentences...but not fully communicating at his 6 yr old level...actually, closer to a 2 yr old level, at best...That worries me...but then I hear the story of person that didn't start talking in full sentences until they were 8 and I think maybe I need to help him and not worry so much...It's all very confusing...

for am,it's echolia, sometimes it's because am like the feel of it in throat, and other times it's to talk to cats.

That's actually common in aspies? I've done that when talking to cats since I was 8, and find it comes more naturally than speech when I'm tired but still have to move (ie, at work). Cats actually respond to it, and humans always have to ask to be sure it's actually me. I also find myself doing it to talk to snakes, and to psychologically torture dogs.

At my 2-year check-up the nurse had to see papers before believing I was only 2 years old. I talked too much. I too was always spoken to as an adult, so there may be SOME degree of correlation.
And yes, I meow.

I was both an early walker and talker. In fact, according to my parents, I never even talked any "baby talk" but went straight to using words.
