Yep. In fact, this is how I ruined my chess skills, because I'd always let myself win.

Yeah, I did this. But really only if I was sick and couldn't do much else.

I used to play Walley ( kicking a ball against a wall ) by myself but using altenative feet to see which foot was the BEST ! !

I played checkers against myself. It was kind of annoying though - its hard to set up a trap to trick one player when both players are the same person

i just joined wp actually. kinda sad to have this condition..

it's sooo lonely..
and difficult to communicate with people - yet when u want to, u dont feel like it at all. zzz

You are correct in what you say although at the same time I wouldn't change anything about myself .

Play games? I used to invent various card games since I was a wee lil lad. I 've never heard of anyone else doing this in the forums I have joined online. Pretty weird I guess.

Yep, mostly board games.

Thank goodness we now have the ability to play against a computer. Scrabble, backgammon, card games.

Life is a game in which the rules are constantly changing.

I played chess by myself and made up stories about all the individual characters in it.


I also played Tetris and pretended that the hall of fame (which got more and more difficult to get into with my insanely high scores) was the list of girls attending the prestigious Tetris School for Girls... and my goal was to get into the school (which got harder and harder each time). Then I got to make up a new snobbish sort of rich-high-achiever-girl name to put in the hall of fame, each time I got into it!

I play Magic Cards, Monopoly, risk, and a myriad of other board games against myself. I once played Monopoly against the bank after I had beaten the other four "players".
I ended up with all the properties. But anything that wasn't a property was the bank's, and had a 2000 dollar rent.
