Perfect 36 on both the English-related sections of the ACT.
I think they were reading comprehension and grammar, but I can't recall for certain.
Too bad about the 19 in math...
I hate math.

I am terrible at reading comprehension. Unfortunately, English GCSE revolved around comprehension and subsequently I didn't do very well.

I tend to think they just didn't like my answers. Beyond basic language skills there is no such thing as a correct interpretation of a piece of writing. You can't tell the reader what to think, ultimately. If they don't like my interpretation that is their problem.

Also the question itself is open to interpretation. If they don’t make the question clear enough that is their problem.

I also had some problem retaining every nugget of information in the piece of writing. Very few writers hold my interest for long.

What's more I went to schools where they ask you an opinion type question in history and still mark it as it is a true or false. I’d rather be marked down in those situations. I'm not going to be told what to believe.

I've always had excellent reading comprehension and did great in those types of tests. I do sometimes have to reread a section of a book though because it's like I forgot to actually read it or something weird.

The only problems I've ever had with reading comprehension are when they use foreign unfamilar names for two different people that are only one or two letters apart, and then they ask you questions about each individual. It will be like Hepzibah loves jumpropes, Hepzibeh likes jacks. One day when Hepzibah was playing jacks she left to get a soda, and Hepzibeh stuck a jack in her jump rope. When she came back she stepped on the jack and got hurt.

Who left to get a soda

A) Hepzibah
B) Hepsibeh
C) Hepziah
D) Hepzibeh

Yep. I was stuck in a reading comprehension class due to this problem upon entering my first semester of college after the assessment.

Yes, at times I've found it not easy to understanding things that tend to be in a written format however, I don't give up thought but keep trying and take a great amount of patience in learning things..

Yeah, although I'm just terrible with names period. Both in books, and in real life. Takes me forever to remember them, and even in novels I love I may not remember the character's names, or at least not the minor characters. I more just remember how people look and how they act. My brain doesn't really process names automatically for some reason.
