I see that some people on here also shop in second hand stores. I found several nightgowns made by a company called Barbizon, made of a fabric called batiste. They are the most incredibly soft items I have ever slept in, incredibly comfortable. I found both these at a thrift shop. I have also found a fabric called pima cotton, if you can find a sheet made of this, it is very comfortable, but rather expensive. Mostly I prefer second hand because everything is mostly broken in, and already soft. I've been looking for large T-shirts to sleep in, because they are usually gentler on the skin.
Like another poster said, I always feel the texture of things before buying them, because if I can't stand it, I won't want to wear it.
