I dont think I'm co-ordinated enough to use one, I always end up still getting wet, plus I struggle when passing people on the street, I hold it awkwardly and get my hair caught in it and all sorts. Dont even get me started on sharing an umbrella with someone else, the logistics are a nightmare!

Quoted for Truth. The last time I ever used an umbrella was during a storm in which the wind blew it inside out. Pointless. I love rain a lot more that I live in desert.

They now have wind-proof umbrellas. I'm going to have to get one of those for my collection.

Haha yes I agree with this, RedRose.

Sharing an umbrella with someone, for me, is like trying to walk a tight-rope...in other words, impossible.

I end up walking too fast, or too slow, or walking into the other person consistantly.

Anyway, I generally DO care about walking in the rain. It's not something that I enjoy. I really dislike the feeling of my clothing sticking to my skin.
Besides, if it were a long distance I had to walk, I wouldn't want to risk becoming hypothermic.

I love rain. I'm like a big kid. Now I'm off to jump into some puddles.

It annoys me especially when rain drops cover my glasses and I cannot see. So I take them off and put them in my pocket when it rains.

But as a kid I used to love jumping in the puddles with big rubber boots on and splashing water up womens skirts as they walked near.

I have no problem with walking in the rain at temps from 60F upwards, I do it often and the wetness doesn't bother me at all. Walking in the rain is endurable at 40F to 60F with a leather jacket. At near freezing temps it's horrible, but I've walked miles on end in freezing rain when I had to.

It depends on the situation. I wouldn't want to walk out in the rain if I am going to be standing out there for a long time. If I'm walking in it, no problem. I am just getting somewhere. I wear a coat with a hood on it.

I work outdoors whatever the weather is doing and don't wear a jacket to work in, so if it's a wet day I get soaked. Using an umbrella just isn't possible but I do change into a dry shirt at the end of the day to drive home.

I also walk the dogs and ride regardless of the weather, but I wear a jacket or long riding coat.

I love going out in the woods in the rain and making little dams on the paths, letting them fill up and then breaking them open to watch the leaves etc flood away. I never notice how wet I've got until I get home and start dripping inside the house.

I do have an umbrella but I think it's rusted shut and spiders live in it.

It depends, if it is a very light, barely rain I actually enjoy it. In general though, I HATE getting caught in the rain. It just gets into my clothes and they feel totally icky.

I never use an umbrella anyway if it's light rain it doesn't bother me however if it's heavy rain den i put my hood on as its a lot better den carryin an umbrella which is bulky n takes up 2 much space.

Not a big fan of m'brellas. Like heavy-duty rain ponchos much better. Oh and I so don't appreciate when people use their umbrellas as pseudo-swords knowingly or unknowingly - like in the middle of a downpour, they've got their heads down and the damn points are coming right at me. Watch where you're going for pete's sake!

Walking in the rain is mostly a rejuvenating experience.

However, there are occasions when it feels plain annoying. Doesn't change the fact umbrellas are too.

I stand outside in it during summer cloudbursts. I love the feel of it, always have.

I prefer having an umbrella with me. :) Umbrellas are a nuisance, though; I always end up with a weak one that turns inside-out.

Sometimes I'll go for a walk in the rain just to experience it, because it does feel good sometimes, but only if a.) I'm in the mood for it, and b.) I can go straight home afterwards and dry off.

I really hate getting my hands unexpectedly wet and I don't like the sensation of showers, but for some reason I don't mind walking in rain at all.
When I lived in Portland, OR I walked one and a half miles to work pretty much every day all year without an umbrella or rain coat.
