Why. Why the hell can't they understand, or failing that, just leave us alone?

Do (most) NT honestly believe that, deep down, we really want to be normal? We really want to be just like them? That, if they "teach" us how to make eye contact for 30 seconds at a time, we'll discover that we really love eye contact and small talk and hugs, and thank them forever for teaching us the ways of human interaction?

And when the cure doesn't happen and the autistic kids grow up, forget any money for them. They're invisible and irrelevant. They're just failed cure attempts and bad PR for the money requests for research.
