I am certainly a habitual user of caffeine. If I go without coffee, I have all of the usual withdrawal symptoms. But interestingly, if I am on decaf (I switch to decaf a week before flying more than three time zones), I will have no withdrawal symptoms. I am not sure if it is a placebo effect, or simply the trace amounts of caffeine that are in decaf coffee.

It could be the habit. Certain 'rituals' are important for me and when leaving them I can even feel a bit sick. Luckily it is not that difficult, but I can think that leaving your daily coffee can have a similar effect.

Caffeine doesn't have any effect on me. Not even Red Bull :(

It makes me paranoid and have painful guts. And have to pee twice as much as I already do– which is a lot. :P
